Due only to a shortage of available garage space, I am offering my beautiful 1996 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series for sale. To the best of my knowledge, I am the third owner of this vehicle which I purchased from a Lincoln dealership upon having been traded for a newer model Lincoln. At present, this car has just under 54,500 miles, but the mileage can change slightly as I do continue to use the car occasionally. This Lincoln is an absolute joy to own, drive and operate and I, personally, would not be afraid to drive this car anywhere even though it is approximately 17 years old. It has four brand new Michelin tires and a new super-duty battery which are the only two items that I have replaced on this car. As a Signature Series, this Lincoln came well equipped with all power accessories including , power windows, automatic door locks, keypad entry, keyless remote, automatic trunk pull down, steering wheel controls for cruise-temp-stereo, memory seats, power lumbar seats, JBL sound, auto-dimming rear view mirror, digital dash and trip computer with built in compass. This car is finished in a lovely golden saddle color with upgraded two-toned leather trimmed interior. Please note that upon my purchase of the vehicle, I had identified at least two areas that appear to have had some previous paint repair, but I cannot find any evidence of any body repair. Small blemishes such as door dings and scratches are present, but minimal in relation to the age of the car. Regardless, the paint and finish is beautiful on this rust-free, garage-kept vehicle. There are no stains, tears or cracks with the gorgeous leather interior. The 4.6 liter V8 engine is silky, smooth and oh-so-quiet at any speed. The transmission is smooth through out all gears including overdrive and torque convertor lock-up. There are no leaks or drips of any kind. The factory dual exhaust is super tight and quiet. The rear air coil suspension is still in-tact and has worked flawlessly through out my ownership. Please NOTE: There is one known problem to point out: As is seemingly common with these cars, this Lincoln will need the Blend Door Actuator (BDA) replaced in order to maintain fully automatic interior temperature control. Otherwise, the heater blows hot air and the a/c blows cold air with a smooth compressor and all fan speeds and register commands operative. Again, due to garage space issues, I will not be addressing the Blend Door Actuator repair before the sale, but I wanted it fully disclosed to any prospective bidder. As a 17 year old car, it is being offered for sale in AS IS condition with no warranty of any kind. The winning bidder should contact me within 24 hours after the auction has ended to make arrangements to complete the transaction. Within 36 HOURS following the end of the auction, a $200 NON REFUNDABLE deposit shall be received by me from the winning bidder. If a deposit has not been received within 36 hours and an alternate arrangement has not been made, I reserve the right to make the vehicle available to other potential buyers, both locally and to eBay bidders, on a first come first serve basis. The remaining portion of the purchase price must be delivered and received by me within 7 CALENDAR DAYS after the auction ends. I welcome and encourage any prospective bidder's questions. Both the deposit and the final purchase price can be paid by buyer to seller in the form of a cashiers or bank check or wired funds to an account designated by the seller. The buyer will be responsible for all local taxes as well as all shipping arrangements. The local tags and registration sticker will be removed from the car upon completion of the sale as is recommended by local registration office. This is a beautiful, low-mileage Town Car which is no longer being produced. I have tried to be as forthright in its description as I can be.
