Vehicle Detail

I am relisting my 55 Mercury after a Deadbeat high bidder said my pictures was not good quality.Sorry I'm not a photographer. I thought I made it as plain as possible ( Don't con me ) But I guess not. If you don't want to pay the $1250. deposit within 24 hrs. and the balance in seven days or if you even think you are going to be dissappointed, Don't Bid. THIS IS THE LAST TIME IT WILL BE ON EBAY. DON'T EMAIL ME AND ASK FOR MORE PICTURES AFTER YOU HAVE WON THE AUCTION . I advise anyone to come and look at it before the auction ends. I am selling my 1955 MERCUY MONTCLAIR, 2 door hardtop that I purchased from my brother 2 years ago. He got it 5 years ago and started to restore it. After a year into his restoration he got sick and found out he had stage 4 lung cancer from agent orange in Viet Nam. He kept on working on his dream car even though he was sick from chemo. That was two years ago and he almost got it finished but being sick and hurting financially, he asked me to buy it. I couldn't afford it but he needed help so I did. OK: About the Mercury: My brother put $1200 in rebuilding the engine and $1000 in all new interior, new tires, brakes, paint job, undercoating, new glass except for windshield and wing windows, new door and window seals, new continental kit, fender skirts and lake pipes, radiator and even undercoated the insides of the doors. I bought a donor car for extra parts and put in a different transmission from a 56 mercury. I have boxes and boxes of extra parts including bumpers, generators, starters, carburator, regulator, a rear end and a lot of chrome. (This car is only a Driver not a professional restoration) and has only been driven about 5 miles since start of restoration. (It should be trailered). Because of my brother's sickness, he didn't do a great job on his body work. Up close you can see where he should have smoothed it out more, but he was too sick but wanted to finish it. The paint job has never been buffed out. The signal lights still need connected in the bumper and trunk. I will try to do that before end of auction. Car still shows some door dings and looking close you can see small blemishes. Still looks sharp. I'm sure I have forgotten stuff and I'm sure it will need little things adjusted but no major mechanical repairs will be needed. When transmission is cold in the winter it takes about 5 minutes to warm up and shift good. There is some water spots on some pictures as I just sprayed the dust off. Rear bumper had some surface rust but was in good shape so it is painted. Couldn't afford to get it chromed. My brother passed away last week, I now need to sell the car to help my money problems. Would I like to keep it because it was my brother's? Sure, just can't afford to. Again this car is a DRIVER ONLY Any Questions Call Art : 618/541-7072 AS IS NO WARRANTY. On Feb-18-13 at 16:34:30 PST, seller added the following information: I'm sure There is things on this car that you will need to check. I have not checked things like wipers, vacuum hoses except to engine or all of the wiring. Don,t get me wrong ,all the major work is done but some of the small things I just haven't got to check out. i am saying this because someone just ask if they could drive it several hundred miles back home. Like I said in the description I'm sure it will need small things still checked out but highly recommend trailering home If you don't Have the finances Please don't bid. I cannot afford the mistakes. I'm not conning anyone so please don't try to con me. I'm country but not stupid. Again don't bid on this car without knowing there will be littles things to complete. If you are the high bidder please don't come and nit pick little things to get the price lower,It wont happen I have described it to the best of my ability and done my best to be honest. GOOD LUCK BIDDING, GOD BLESS and thanks On Feb-21-13 at 02:41:49 PST, seller added the following information: If it would help I have a 22' tilt bed car trailer and could deliver for fuel and expenses after auction and sale is completed. Could use a break anyway after everything that's happened this month. Depending on location. Thank's Art
