Vehicle Detail
Lotus - Super 71996 Caterham Super 7, registered and titled as 1967 Lotus. You may have seen this car listed in the fall. It sold to a car collector in Switzerland who had us refresh the motor before shipping the car... since time has passed, some of his other cars have taken more of his time and he decide to resell it in the US instead of shipping it back to Switzerland.Previous owner was a meticulous race engineer. He literally tracked down every noise and vibration and set this car up perfectly. Far and away one of the most exhilirating 4-wheel experiences out there. We've really enjoyed this Super 7 and while we're moving on to something different for now, we will look forward to owning another one of these motoring gems in the future. Watch the video at the end for a glimpse of what it's like to drive a Super 7.1700cc Supersport Xflow (Freshly built by the Lotus experts at Alderman Machine http://www.aldermanmachine.com/, break-in miles haven't even been completed)5spd T-9DeDion LWB chassisHoneycomb gas tank protection kit Fresh air heater with on/off controlMotolita, black leather steering wheel Tonneau coverBlack adjustable seats with head restsCarbon fibre external rear view mirrors3pt inertia safety belts Wind wingsExtra visibility topThermostatic oil cooler kit Heat shield kit, for pedal boxes and transmission tunnelCompetition exhaust system This car has been driven and does have some stone chips, but nothing that takes away from it's overall presence or the impression you'll make going down the road. Rear tires have seen some spirited road use and are about 50%, but not in need of replacement yet. Priced to sel. If you have any questions or can't wait and would like to put in an offer, please call Zac at 646.331.8224 This is a 24 year-old car and there are no guarantees. classic car ownership is a labor of love and part of the experience is putting some work into keeping these classic machines on the road. If you want a car that is 100% reliable and trouble free, this is not the car for you, you should be looking at a new toyota with a factory warranty! This car will deliver a unique and memorable driving experience and those same things that make it unique and special do sometimes require some special attention and maintenance. That is all part of the joy of classic car ownership.
