2004 Land Rover Discovery SE7, AWD, 7 Passenger, Rear access SUV This Rover has obviously been well maintained and has all of the options plus several upgrades. Seven Passenger, Dual climate controls, Factory integrated running boards, Heated Seats, Heated windshield, Downhill decent control, HSE upgraded wheels, Tinted windows, headlight washers, leather jump seats, Six-CD changer located under seat, 3 button universal remote transmitters on rearview, dual power sunroofs, optional rear step, 2 Remote Keys (290.00 each) manual and books, even the hand brake and four wheel shifter boots have been upgraded to Italian leather from the stock ‘plether” boots that fall apart. The Black and Tan is the most desirable color combination of all rovers and this one looks sweet. It does have the leather back jump seats (SE7) that can fold out of the way for loading cargo. The jump seats also have the optional headphone jacks with volume and controls. We added brake light protectors and the leather boots. They really look and feel much better and match the grain of the leather seats. The ONLY reason we are selling is because we just bought a new one. These trucks are so nice, safe and provide the driver unequaled confidence. There is not a more stable/safer vehicle in Rain, Snow, Sleet or any adverse weather conditions. Land Rovers are the real thing. They were around long before the “four wheel” sport-utilities found today. Land Rover earned its legend in Africa and the Australian Outback, bounding over rocks and hills, fording creeks and rivers, thundering along the savanna, creeping through tall grasslands. Also included in this truck are rear window wiper and defroster; and rear fog lights and rear light covers. Other options include a heated windshield and heated front seats, rear air conditioning, a third-row seat package consisting of two fold away jump seats and a hydraulic step for entry from the rear The 2004 Discovery got a more powerful engine over previous models, a proven 217-horsepower aluminum 4.6-liter V8 first introduced in the upscale Range Rover in 1999. There are some 350 other changes to the 2004 Discovery, most notably new headlights and front-end styling, and refinements to the suspension and brakes. But the vast majority of the improvements are details. The 2004 was the last year of the REAL Land Rover Discovery. Specific Info on this SE7 This truck has fairly recently had new tires installed all the way around including the spare. The new tread pattern really makes the truck look good! The head gaskets and main engine gaskets have also been replaced with all receipts. That is about a 3k job and our land rover mechanic (originally from the dealer) said ALL Land Rover Discoverys are going to need this done somewhere past 75,000 miles. It is truly not a matter of if… it is simply a matter of when this will be done, due to the material of the gaskets installed at the factory. On this SE7, it is DONE with all receipts. In addition, I have also replaced the troublesome half drive shaft which is about a 700 dollar repair that will also need done on ALL Discovery’s. It has also just been serviced. I had a professional Land Rover Audio Service install an iPhone Jack in the front of the factory radio. It looks very good and is super nice to be able to hook your iPhone music to it. With an iPhone, when a call comes in, the music fades away and you can answer the call hands free, with the incoming call playing over the Rover speakers. When the call is finished, the music fades back in at the previous set volume from whatever source your iPhone was playing. Volume can be controlled via the Iphone, the stereo knob or the volume control on the steering wheel. It’s totally integrated, super easy to use and plays your favorite music like the band is in the Rover with you. (and keeps you safer while driving!) In the nature of full disclosure, I will mention and photo everything I can find that may be an issue with the truck so there will be no unhappy surprises. You will absolutely love this Rover. What you see and read about here, is exactly what you will pick up when you purchase. Please do ask any questions you may have. There is a small crack in the driver side tail light (functions perfectly) There are a few very minor scratches and dings but nothing abnormal or in need of repair Windshield trim piece is cracked in the middle – (trim, nothing functional) Front Bumper has a small crack – a brush guard would replace or cover that part of the bumper Passenger Side power window just quit working, I had the driver’s side repaired right after we bought it for about 300 bucks. I do believe that is everything…. These are somewhat hard to find in good condition and seem to go pretty quickly when they do come available. Please shout if you have interest.
