Vehicle Detail
1988 Suzuki Samurai Hello up for sale is my 1988 Suzuki Samurai which is rust free. Samurai comes with a clean Texas title. This samurai has 61,472 miles on a fuel injected 1.3l engine Modifications include: 1985 Toyota axle swap 4.10 gear ratio Lockrite lockers front are rear differential 6.5:1 gear ratio in low range off road transfer case less than a year old comes with lifetime warranty on the gears Toyota hi steer to samurai conversion Cj spring over axle lift with lots of flex and articulation Jeep wrangler to samurai bumper conversion adapter which allows you to mount any aftermarket jeep wrangler bumper to samurai Jeep wrangler basic rock crawler front bumper Calmini HD transfer case mount Calmini Rock slider rails Hi lift jack mounted on hood Off road lights mounted Clicky starter fix New carpet CB Radio and antenna mounted Ipod radio with pioneer speakers Repairs within the last year include: New alternator New starter New battery New clutch New clutch cable New battery cables New belt Cons: The samurai vibrates when driving around 45mph. This is because of the rear drive shaft angle. Its a fairly simple fix though the spring perches need to be cut and re welded with differential pointed towards the transfer case. A new u joint on the rear drive shaft might be needed too. The exhaust has a slight leak from the gasket which might need to be changed in the future. This samurai has a top speed of about 75mph with the gear ratio on 31in tires. I have no trouble driving it on the freeway around town. The tires are maxxis 31 x 10.50 r15. All the tires are in good shape except for one which has been plugged. It had a slow leak so I changed it out it with the spare which is a wrangler all terrain. All five tires are mounted on flat black toyota six lug rims. The low gear ratio allows the samurai to crawl over just about anything in 4 low. I have the original samurai axles and samurai rims which I will include if interested. I also have an upholstered rear bench seat included. I think if a little time was spent into fixing the few problems with the suspension lift or doing a jeep yj swap with a kit this samurai would be in top shape. Thanks for looking!
