If you make an offer please provide your phone number. 1980 is considered the most desirable of this Cadillac generation for numerous reasons and is also the most rare. I've seen this year / mileage selling for over $12k on numerous classic car sites. The last body style for the giant 2 door RWD GM car. It went till 84/85. For the body style this was the best engine option. 80 was still a 4bbl carburetor. The 368 engine was the last in the family of Cadillac V8's that came out in 68. Also the last Cadillac cast iron engine. The engine family started out as a 472 then became the 500 then down to the 425 for 77-79. The 368 did not have the power of the earlier engines but was still a solid reliable engine. I believe my Deville should still have the THM400 transmission (which was what the big cars and 3/4 1 ton trucks. Original Paint is still in great shape. Interior is very nice (see pics) with only a few minor tears. Mechanically this Cadillac has been bulletproof. I let it sit for 7 weeks and now reverse has started acting up. It doesn't want to engage. I don't have time to diagnose the problem further and with much regret have decided to part with it. I personally don't think its going to be a big job to get the issue resolved especially considering this cars mileage. I found this on the Internet, mechanics recommendation for this issue on my car same year: "Check the fluid level. HOT and in neutral. If the level is low or not on the stick it IS the problem. If this isn't the problem, check the linkages to the transmission itself. The torque coverter cannot convert torque if there is no fluid to transfer the power from the output shaft of the engine to the input shaft in the tranny. Your transmission may also suffer from a clogged/dirty filter, or some other restriction in the MANY channels therein." DISCLAIMER: Note this classic is sold as/is where is. YOUTUBE VIDEO'S: SEE 21 PICTURES BELOW < On Feb-16-13 at 11:28:28 PST, seller added the following information: Important: I've just been informed that the transmission issue is being caused by a bad Transmission Vacuum Modulator. This is a $30 part and a quick fix. I don't make any warranties or guarantee that this will solve the problem but most likely it will.
