Vehicle Detail
Heavy-duty great-running 4-wheel drive workhorse with a ranch-hands bumper up front, tow hitch in back and turn-over fifth-wheel hitch in bed. Six-speed transmission to help with hauling trailers or other heavy loads and cruise control make this a fun truck to drive. Also in bed are mounts for a rack system (removable) for carrying bikes, a small boat, a cargo container, or anything else you can secure to a set of bars (bars and mounts included with truck). The truck also comes with a cargo tray that attaches to the rear hitch for extra capacity and a bed extender included, as well, for when you just need a little more room than the closed bed, but not enough to break out the tray. The tonneau cover is a hard, metal, locking, retractable JackRabbit full metal tonneau cover and there is a retracting sunshade attached to the windscreen that retracts so as to not block visibility, but convenient to use once parked. The truck is sporting a new radio, a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X994 , with an extended cord to attach to a USB device, is bluetooth enabled, has satellite and high definition capability, single CD, and a removable faceplate. Also included is a SuperChips tuner module for optimizing engine power, fuel economy, or running at stock settings. Tires are fairly new (Michelin LTX M/S2 installed at 184,067 miles and rated for 70,000 miles) and in good condition with plenty of life left in them and a Certificate for Repair, Refund, or Replacement (from the company that sold the tires) should the tires fail prematurely. Besides the ranch-hands bumper, the truck comes with two cleanable air filters: an AirRaid filter and a K&N filter (both included with truck). These filters are big and take a while to dry when cleaned, so I found two to be very useful. The truck also has an engine-warming cord installed, extra filter on the fuel line to aid with water removal and to extend the life of the under-the-hood fuel filter, a custom oil plug to aid in changing the oil while hot without getting burned, and switchable power leads in the truck bed. Truck also has a locking fuel cap and locking tail gate in addition to the locking tonneau cover to keep fuel and any loads secure. The factory towing mirrors are great for visibility whether towing or not, and the ranch-hands bumper makes accessing the engine compartment a breeze. Floor is vinyl for easy cleaning and there is plenty of space under the (fold-up) rear seat for storing items inside the cab. Also included are the original owner's manual, Haynes manual, and another manual on CD, as well as a replacement jack and bar for accessing the full-size spare tire. The truck bed is a bit rusted and dinged, but surface rusting only, no flaking or rust holes (two small slits, one in each rear fender well, from before I owned the truck and look to be from a load that shifted during hauling) but is serviceable and hidden by the tonneau cover. Actual mileage is 195,509 as of 2/8/2013, but this is my daily driver (short commute) so mileage is adding slowly. There is a chip in the paint on the front right hood (a little larger than a quarter but not visible in photos) and a crack in the hood grille (visible in photos) and a tear in the material on the driver's seat (side of seat and not visible in photos). Also, though the truck has the towing package, the speed brake has been removed and is not available with the truck. Also included are a full set of splash guards (not installed) and brand new windshield wiper blades (Rain-X brand and not installed yet but will be at time of sale). Service records are available. Truck is currently in New York state, but has only been here 2 months. The rest of its life has been in Texas and North Carolina, so the typical salt-rust is not present on this vehicle. Kelly Blue Book value is $14,975 on this truck in good condition.
