You are looking at my 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible. I hate to see her go but son turns 18 in April and is going to College and guess where the monies are coming from.Sad but true, Dad is selling his pride and joy and to fund Juniors education. I am far from an expert when it comes to corvettes but I will do my best. Up for auction is a 1965 Corvette Stingray Convertible. This car is located in SW Florida and comes with a clean, clear Florida title.This car has been recently painted its original color of Milano Maroon, paint code 900 MM. Only 2,831 were painted this color... that's 12.01% of all 1965's. It is NOT a trailer queen or a museum car but a better than average driver show car.The interior is BRAND NEW and done in its original color of White, trim # 437. The convertible top is also BRAND NEW.The car is powered with a small block 327 cu in 300 hp, Casting number 3858180 (It starts and runs perfect no noises or smoke.)The transmission is a Muncie M-21 4 spd. Casting number 3857584 (It shifts perfectly without any noises.)The rear end... I am not sure what to say other than it looks to be original to the car and also make no noises. This is a base car without power steering or brakes, but steers very easy and stops fine. It does however have 4 wheel disc brakes, this was the first year for this option. I have included in the purchase a brand new master cylinder that I have not had time to get installed.I am not sure if it needs the master cylinder, but the car pulls a little to the right when stopping. The car is equipped with an AM Radio from Corvette, not sure if its original or not, but it plays perfect. The antenna, I was told, is not original to the car.Funny thing about these cars is someone is ALWAYS telling you a story about them. I have loved owning and driving the car and hate to see it go, who knows maybe someday my son will graduate and buy me another one.All the gauges work except clock and temperature. I have recently taken this car on a road trip and it will not over heat even in SW Florida.The headlights open and close properly and work just fine.The wipers work perfectly also.The car has almost new tires, 205/60/R15 in front and 235/60/R15 in the rear.All the glass looks to be original and looks great, windows roll up as they should. You can wash the car without flooding the interior.All the original trim tags are under the dash and are as they were in 1965.The car has its original seat belts.The original spare tire is still in its holder.
