InteriorOn the right side of the package tray, next to the rear glass is lightly hand written 21. (not pictured) I've never seen these chalk mark locations on any car. ++++++ New addition++++++ New addition++++++ New addition++++++ New addition ++++++ New addition++++++ 1958 Dodge Coronet 4000 Original Miles + This Dodge is among the lowest mileage 58 Dodges on the planet + + It is a true time capsule + + If you love extremely low mileage cars, then you will love this one. It would make a perfect 50s addition to any collection + History on this Car + It was purchased new in 1957 by a lady who bought it as a retirement gift to herself. She worked at a local bank in the small town of Latrobe in central Pennsylvania. She drove the car very little, only once a month to the bank to cash her retirement check and on an occasional visit to her sister’s house. She kept the car until the time of her death in 1969 and in 1975 it was sold from her estate to the next owner. This gentleman kept the car until 2012 when I purchased it + + It is also neat to see the original pre-existing oil change stickers still surviving on the door post + +++ OPTIONS included on this Car +++ + Not only is this Coronet one of the lowest mileage Dodges, but it is also one of the lowest optioned Dodges you will find + + The ridged 2 door post body style plus the bulletproof flat head 6 cylinder engine makes for real interesting conversations. However, it was fortunate enough to have been equipped with the bulletproof Chrysler Pushbutton Power Flite transmission + + The only other options on this car would include the windshield washer bag, full hubcaps and the radio delete + +++ Condition of this Car +++ + For the originality, the original black finish is exceptional and has never had any touchup work anywhere that I can find + + The original interior is just as unbelievable. It is a rubber mat car and the original mat has survived extremely well with the exception of a few cracks around the gas pedal area which has happened since I’ve owned it + + The original trunk mat is just as unbelievable and still very pliable as day one; a rubber trunk mat of this age in any kind of car is rare in this condition + + The tires are the original tires that came on the car and the tread wear reflects the 4000 miles showing on the odometer + + The original spare tire and jack assembly is still in the trunk and has never been restored + + The original chrome is beautiful throughout this car + + The taillight bezels are like new, so is all the stainless trim + + All the chrome on the front end is breathtaking and looks like a masterpiece + + If you are seriously interested, don't hesitate to call me for negotiation + + Gary 864-325-7515 + + This car is located near Spartanburg, South Carolina + + This car can also be seen on my website at http://garrenautosales.com/showroom.php + + This car is advertised locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early + On Feb-14-13 at 06:00:33 PST, seller added the following information: This car has generated a lot of buzz on another website called BaT. The perspectives are all across the board. There are quite a few well seasoned attitudes who can respect the car and see the car for what it is and there are several of the less fortunate who can only see no further than it being a 58 stripper with only a 6 cylinder. It's a good read. Check it out http://bringatrailer.com/2013/02/12/swept-wing-survivor-4k-mile-1958-dodge-coronet/
