Vehicle Detail
1970 Dodge Coronet 500 Convertible 76,000 Original Miles + This is a very nice original Coronet 500 Convertible that was a 1 owner car until this year + + It spent its entire life in a small town in central Pa where it was stored away for many years + + It only has 76,000 original miles on it + + The car has never been restored and is in exceptionally nice condition throughout + History on this Car + What makes this Coronet unique is that it came from the factory with the N-coded 383 hi-performance engine that was rated at 330 horses with dual exhaust and turn down exhaust tips + + This car is 1 of 67 that were produced + + Engine colors confuse a lot of people on these engines, the 330 horse engines were painted blue from the factory, the 335 horse that came in the Super Bees and Road Runners were painted street hemi orange unless equipped with a/c, then they too were painted blue as well + + As you can tell, this engine here has been repainted + + Coronet 500s were normally equipped with a 383 2 barrel or a 318 V8, which were plenty good enough but didn’t match up to the performance minded individuals who desired a little more horsepower + + The original factory finish FK5 Bronze Metallic paint is still in very nice condition; the original burnt orange bucket seat interior is pristine; the white convertible top and convertible boot are still in very good shape + + The drivetrain is the original numbers matching 383 and 727 automatic transmission + +++ OPTIONS included on this Car +++ + Some of the options on this car include power steering; the rare unique color-coded, B-Body rim blow steering wheel, which is in very nice condition; dual chrome mirrors with drivers’ side remote; the original Chrysler Solid State A/M radio; chrome pedal dress up package; 3 speed windshield wipers and power convertible top + + Coronets 500s were the little sister to the high-end/ high-performance Coronet R/T. They both shared many features; factory bucket seat interior, floor console was optional, which this car has; interior wood grain decor package with appropriate ID badges; and the unique rear dresser panel with 3 pod tail lamp assembly, and this car has a beautiful rear dresser panel + + I put the 15" rally wheels and new Goodrich T/A radials on it, these cars have quite a large wheel well, the 15” wheels are a must in my opinion + +++ Condition of this Car +++ + All the bumpers and chrome trim are bright and beautiful. This car has never had any rust repairs and has seen very little winter time if any. The trunk still has the original mat and all the original jack components…excuse the ugly spare tire, I plan to replace it + + I have some original paperwork such as the title, the bill of sale, the window sticker, the build sheet, and inspection stickers + + If you are seriously interested, please don't hesitate to call me for price negotiation + + Gary 864-325-7515 + + This car is located near Spartanburg, South Carolina 29385 + + This car can also be seen on my website at www.garrenautosales.com/showroom.php + + This car is advertised locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early +
