1977 Volkswagen Bus Transporter Model 1977 Volkswagen Bus, Transporter Model with Factory AC. My original intentions were to fully restore it but I've been busy with work and haven't had a chance to get back to it. It has the original engine (4 cylinder) with upgraded carb set up 2 barrel ($600 in parts). Manual transmission shifts great through all gears including reverse. Clutch operates great. Run and drive as you continue to restore. I would suggest a carb cleaning down the road. Brakes work great also with no known leaks in lines. All 4 tires matching with 85% tread remaining with original white VW rims. All glass in good condition, just a couple of small nicks. Body panels are straight and frame is solid! All floors are solid, just a few small rust repairs fixed in the body. Needs some electrical work in tail lights, could be as simple as a new bulb/fuse. Head lights work great and gauges. Roof and gutters in good condition. Chrome handles shine. Interior is clean, could use some TLC and a few cosmetic items exterior but overall a great ride. Headliner is original, bright white. Seats could use recovering down the road. Factory AC components are all there but needs to be re-connected. New parts added as of 1/10/2013 - distributor, ignition coil, ignition switch, spark plugs, plug wires, condenser, newer battery and fresh oil/filter change.
