Vehicle Detail
1932 Ford Original Chassis This chassis is in excellent condition and the nicest we have come across in 30 years. VIN # is clear and indicates that it is from very early 1932. Has all original cross members and k-member intact, nothing has been replaced. Not pitted and has all the original rivets. Driver’s side rear frame horn must have been cracked and was welded on the inside but not ground down, outside looks great. The chassis came from the estate of an elderly gentleman that was in the process of updating his 32 with a later V-8 Flathead and hydraulic brakes. Engine is a 59AB Flathead V-8 with original 32 motor mounts and new rubber biscuits. Engine fires right up and runs but smokes some and there is a small peck. Might last a long time but to be on the safe side consider it as needing a rebuild. Original radiator has been cleaned and checked. New single exhaust system with new Smitty muffler sounds great. Transmission is a 1934-1935 and the rear end is an early 1932 with 4.11. Front end consists of original 32 wishbone, 33-36 axle and 37-41 round back spindles all in excellent condition. Has Early Ford hydraulic brakes with new steel lines and hoses. Uses Early V8 Garage brake pedal and parking brake conversion. This is an exceptional kit that uses original holes and requires no drilling. Comes with very nice original steering sector with stock 32 pitman arm. Nice original switch with lock and key. Steering wheel has some cracks and no horn button or light rod. Original battery box is still in place and comes with new hold down, 12 volt battery and solenoid. Original tank is dented and has pin hole leak. Early Ford 16” steel wheels and new Firestone 750 rears and 450 fronts not included in auction but are available separately for $750. Rollers will be provided for transportation. With a seat and a firewall this chassis could be driven. Current and correct Tennessee title has been filed for and should be received in 2 weeks. We have many reproduction parts including a Wescott 32 Roadster body that was manufactured in the 80’s but never used. Since this is such a nice and original chassis we have decided to offer it first separately for someone desiring to build an exceptional 1932 Ford. We are always looking for Early Ford Projects.
