If you have less than 3 positive feedbacks, sorry, but I am requiring you to contact me before placing a bid with a name and phone number, at which point I will call you to verify your interest. If you do not contact me, then I will cancel your bid. This is due to the fact that this item was previously sold to a zero feedback member who never contacted me after the sale. For newer members, I am sorry about this--but if you are legit, there's no problem, just get in touch with me. Also, to ward off fraudulent bidders, I am requiring a paypal deposit for $295 within 48 hours of auction close. If it sells for above $295, the rest can be paid when you pick it up. Thanks for looking. Please read the entire description thoroughly before bidding: 1994 Ford Escort LX station wagon. With title. You'll need a tow truck to pick up in Nashville. Needs a new TIMING BELT in order to run. Other than that, it is in good shape mechanically, and has lots of good parts. Cosmetically, it is terrible. I used it as a work vehicle for about three years, so it has lots of battle wounds, and I never made any effort to repair cosmetic issues. See photos. I did, however, maintain the mechanical aspects. Recent repairs include a new serpentine belt on August 2011. On the same date I had two new tires installed--Hancock 185/65 R14. The Hancocks are virtually new, as the car broke down in the Spring of 2012 and hasn't been driven since. The other two tires are mastercrafts, and they are in very good shape. In the summer of '09 I had extensive maintenance done including: PCV tube replacements, thermostat, water temp sender, spark plug wire set, new battery (currently needs charging), brake job, and new master cylinder. I have records for all those repairs. The car has a busted odometer, so I have no idea how many miles it has. It is stuck at 78,000. I would estimate 150,000 or so. Here are the issues that I can think of:Needs new TIMING BELT to run. Oil needs to be topped about twice a year. I would say two quarts a year. It was like that when I got it around '06, and it never got any worse or better. There were never any oil puddles under the car. Radiator fluid needs to be topped occasionally. The guy who had it before me got rear ended and put a replacement hatch that is red instead of gold. The rear bumper is still pretty mangled. The front bumper is sagging on passenger side. The interior rubber pulls of both front doors are coming off. The passenger door cannot open from inside. The passenger seat is terrible. I had placed some batteries on it, and some acid spilled. I neutralized all the acid with baking soda, but the seat is in terrible condition. The passenger seat belt is also shot. The driver side window does not go up all the way. Leaves about a nickel's width. The windshield is cracked.I'm pretty sure the AC does not work. Also, radio does not work.IMPORTANT to know that the temp gauge signals overheat, but it is NOT overheating. My mechanic looked at this issue extensively, replaced thermostats etc, and tested all the temperatures. It is an issue with the gauge, not the engine. The ignition on the steering column stopped turning with my key, so my mechanic rigged it so that you can turn it with any key. It still looks like a normal ignition. Hood has hail damage.Passenger side exterior mirror has been taken off the car. I have the part and hardware and it can easily be re-installed. Overall, it's an old car that has seen better days. When the timing belt went, I decided to move on. I have described all issues to the best of my knowledge, but I am selling this car AS IS. There could be some other minor issues with it that I cannot recall. So, again, being sold AS IS, NO RETURNS. Please ask all questions before bidding. If you want to check it out, contact me and we can arrange a visit. Thanks for looking. Feel free to ask any questions. Check my seller feedback and bid with confidence.
