You are viewing my 1973 Buick Riviera in burnt coral. It is showing about 106k on the ticker, but you wouldn't know it by the way she purrrs like a kitten faced with a saucer overflowing with fresh buttermilk. I just put in two hours of seat time in this machine criss-crossing the beautiful highways and byways of central New York at speeds that may have occasionally upset the local constabulary and I have to say that I had a blast doing it. The big 455 four barrel setup makes this Riv an absolute vehicular tyrannosaurus with no other purpose than to eat up mcadam and any unfortunate Sunday driver that happens to be puttering along in her way. My buddy was behind me in a late model Jeep and he had trouble keeping up as I negotiated the dips and curves in this miraculously athletic beast. It is as if the passion evident in the bodacious body lines has somehow bled into the motor and chassis, creating something akin to an incredibly beautiful woman who along with being stunning to look at can also jump nine feet in the air. Rarely do form, design and function come together like this and I swear it will set your friggin' pants on fire! Like I said, I put her through her paces on a good long jaunt out into the hinterlands and she performed beyond my wildest expectations. For a good portion of our little dance I had the radio cranking out my favorite songs and the heater keeping my feet nice and toasty. Didn't try the A/C but it is there. Power seat was about as cooperative as my old lady, but that's probably something as minor as a connection; it didn't detract one iota from the rollercoaster of fun she is to drive. So as she sits, she is a incredible runner with gonaditrofics the size of church bells that is the perfect way to satisfy anyone's craving for that little bit of the American muscle that makes the world go 'round for some of us. And if you know what I mean, then I need say no more on that score. I almost hope nobody bites on her because I can't wait for Spring and the full treatment that awaits if she's still in my corral. In fact, if the roads stay dry today I think I'll sneak out and fill her up with some good ol' no-eth gas and give it another go. So if you happen to see a blazing coral mastadon roaring up in your rearview with the fury of the four horsemen, you may just want to pull to the side and let me on through:).
