Starts up easy from dead cold and runs excellent and has working A/C which was replaced this last summer. Odometer broke in 2007 so I must estimate about 280k miles. Please do note that the mileage noted above is an estimate only. Could use a little front end work, maybe a bushing or two and an alignment (many front ends parts have already been replace in recent history including the lower ball joints, upper control arms, lower bearing bracket bushings, pitman arm bushing and a few track-rod joints). Engine runs very nice and is very strong. Trans shifts good and has had a fluid change about 1000 miles ago. Timing chain was replaced about 3 years ago. Valves have been adjusted about 500 miles ago. Glow plugs are brand new. Fuel injectors were replaced with NEW ones about 5 years ago. While it runs awesome, I never got the injectors balanced which I'm sure would make the idle as smooth as a gasser. Paint recently started losing areas of clear-coat. I'm not sure if it can be buffed out or not but a detail shop could probably make it look pretty good. Tires don't have much left in them and two of them lose air slowly. Engine compartment is nice and clean!Over all it is a VERY desirable car and a joy to own. I have owned this car since 2003, love it, but had to "modernize" my ride for a new baby :) If you are interested in this car, I know you have lots of questions! Please do ask!On Jan-27-13 at 14:58:16 PST, seller added the following information: ***UPDATE***PLEASE READ*** I am receiving a number of questions and since this auction has not yet hit the reserve price, I feel now is the best time to answer these questions and add as much as I can about this car. I've added more picture to better help identify the true condition of the car and add some visual reference to what I have described above and added below. I did not attempt to clean the outside or interior of the car previous these pictures. Obviously the car would look so much better in pictures has I spit shined it, but I wanted to show exactly what this car is all about. 1) The A/C was replaced summer of 2012. It blows cold! The heating also works just fine.2) Oil consumption is right on track. I usually consume about 1 quart to 3000 miles. This is loose as it really depends on your driving style. Heavy foot = oil consumption.3) Engine runs very strong! As strong as the engine is, I'm fairly certain it's not far off from the spec 125hp/180ft torque.4) Tires are tired. They do have a decent amount of tread left but I will not make claims of them being perfect. Hopefully the picture will give you an idea of wear.5) Driver side door: Door locks but key does not function anymore. Key works on passenger side door so I am quite certain the problem is with the door locking mechanism. 6) Windows: all window motors work. Rear passenger window has a broken clip, thus it rolls down but not up. Drivers window switch broke so it is hooked up to driver side rear window switch. Driver side rear window works but is disconnected for this reason.7) Front seats are electric. They are operated by switches on the door. The switches function but are missing knobs. They will need to be replaced to use them easily.8) There are of course a number of cosmetic flaws inside and out that come with a car this age. A few door dings and a few small hail dings but no large dents.9) No rust. This car has been in or near the Dallas area for all of it's life. We do not have the corrosion problems here like up North. Thus, this car is in great shape comparatively.10) As seen in the pictures the interior will need some work to bring back to new like serviceability.11) I have include new pictures in attempt to better illustrate the diminishing clear coat I described in the original posting.12) Sunroof works. Yea!13) All exterior lights work. That's about all I can think of to add to this. This is a full disclosure of everything I can think of to show both "things to work on" and how great this car is too. Bid in confidence, what you see really is what you get.
