Each of the 645 Lagondas produced required about 2,200 man hours to hand-build-to-order (usually by kings, tyrants, sultans and drug lords). Only a fraction of the production run was sold to U.S. buyers at a price of around $150,000, making it second most expensive saloon car in the world. So what this means is that as almost no one in the general public has ever seen a Lagonda, perhaps the most striking car ever built, and it literally stops them in their tracks as they have no frame of reference as to what it is. When I’m parked downtown people approach with bewilderment and caution. It’s seriously hilarious. A daily driver this Lagonda came from a collection and has seen relatively little use.
