Up for sale is a 1948 Chevy pickup that is all original down to the 6-volt system. The truck starts and runs good, and the transmission shifts smoothly through the gears. The breaks have new wheel cylinders. The master cylinder was rebuilt. I have driven the truck around the block a few times. The clutch is a little jumpy but other than that the truck seems to drive good. The tires are brand new and have less than 10 miles on them. As you can see in the picture, three of the glasses are cracked. The previous owner had already started stripping the paint. I removed the rest of the paint and it has a self-etching primer on it now. It looks like a green color but it is a primer. From what I can tell it is completely original with the exception of the generator. The truck appears to have been a highway department truck because the original factory color was orange. The seat is torn on the driver's side, and there are a couple of small rust holes in the floor board. However, the truck is as solid as I have seen one in a long time.
