The turbo on this car is rated to 600 REAR WHEEL HORSEPOWER, so as you can see there is a little room left to up the auntie by putting race gas plus and aggressive tune in the car plus the engine is nearly bullet proof and built to handle an insane amount of additional power by way of a simple turbo swap and tinkering from a qualified shop if you want some more ponies. Either way, this is a tried and true barn burner of a machine that has never skipped a beat since its original build which without a shadow of a doubt proves just how well or careful it was put together! On the outside of this car you'll immediately notice the historic and classy look from 1960's era with the additions from Cervinis by way of the lower front & rear spoilers along with the stunning side scoops and 20" staggered wheels with massive sticky rubber out back. The Vista Blue Metallic Paint on this car is an excellent color for such an exotic looking car such as this. Again, this car is from Southern California, far away from snow country so the condition is as first class as you can imagine and no place can you buy a better car from than where this baby was owned. As you can tell by the odometer, with only 12k miles, the car has been driven very minimally which is to be expected from a car of this playful stature. We have extensively inspected the paint and see absolutely no damage anywhere. In fact, the paint is as slick as glass and is ready to be shown off at a car show near you. The car was constructed a few years ago and as mentioned has been driven on special occasions with very limited use. We had the car gone through by highly trained and very skilled technicians at Shelby plus they installed an updated oil breather system via JLT Billet Oil Catch Cans. After the service was completed the car was strapped to the DYNOJET dyno at Shelby. They completely went through the tune on the car to ensure that the latest tuning parameters where installed in the car using today's standards. And nobody would know better than the tuner for the largest forced induction manufacturer in the world! After the tune was carefully gone through the car ripped off 521 REAR WHEEL HORSEPOWER (Approximately 610 at the crank) at a safe Air / Fuel ratio (we have the dyno sheet to prove it). But talk about a torque MONSTER! The car blasted off 645 Lb Ft of Torque at the REAR WHEELS (Approximately 750 at the crank)! On low boost the car still makes 500 rear wheel horsepower and 555 Lb Ft of Torque. Please keep in mind that this is all on normal pump gas. As mentioned above, the limits are not the motor, it's the size of the Turbo. This was intended to be a street/show car not a drag queen. You could easily dial up the boost with race fuel and an aggressive tune and make more power, but the idea wasn't to run the car on the ragged edge. If you wanted you could also easily swap the turbo out for a slightly larger one and increase the power immensely if that was the direction you wanted to go. Personally, we feel the car runs extremely hard and is a hand full the way it is! So there you have it, the car has been checked out thoroughly and it has been tuned properly to where anyone can enjoy it. All functions of the actual car where tested as well, everything operates flawlessly. Keep in mind that cars of this caliber exhibit characteristics and mannerisms associated with race cars. The car was from California and some how passed SMOG, we have no idea how.
