Vehicle Detail
The Triumph Tiger 110 650 cc OHV Twin was Triumph's fastest production motorcycle to date (before the 1959 Bonneville), developed for the American market which wanted a higher power output. This T110 is a second year 1955 model with the original engine and matching frame. The bike was customized at some point (in the 1950s or early 1960s perhaps), with a Harley 7" headlight, shaved forks, and no nacelle, gauges or switches, except a kill button on the handlebars and a headlight on/off switch mounted on the side panel. The fuel tank, oil bag, and forks were all chromed, and "cocktail shaker" pipes were added. She still sports the original Amal Monobloc 376 carburetor, and 19" wheels front and rear. What she still needs: First of all, **the bike does not run yet**- But it is very close. I've mounted a set of brand new Avon Speedmaster tires, gone through the carburetor, and cleaned up the primary case and transmission. This engine has a TON of compression and sounds extremely healthy when you kick it over. You would swear it's gonna start when you kick it. The magneto was bench tested and has a blue spark, but it seems weak. The fuel system needs to plumbed, it needs a drive chain, and the forks needs new seals installed (which I will include). Also note that the seat springs, rear pillion and tail light assembly are not properly mounted yet. NOTE= There is no title. Ebay made me enter a title type in the listing. I bought the bike off Ebay 6 or 6 years ago with a bill of sale only. It's been off the road for at least 16 years according to the registration decals, so it's very likely out of the DMV computers at this point anyway. Also, there is no odometer, so I cannot tell you the actual mileage. Its a very cool project for a chopper, bobber or as a restoration project. On Jan-19-13 at 14:17:37 PST, seller added the following information: Just to confirm the email question I received: Yes, this is a 100% original frame and engine number matching bike. T57593 is stamped on the engine case and frame neck downtube, left side. I will add a frame picture and swing arm stamping picture soon... On Jan-19-13 at 14:38:57 PST, seller added the following information: Last two pictures are the frame neck with numbers, and a shot of the swing arm top to show the casting numbers. Thanks!!
