1960 Plymouth Fury ‘Custom’ Convertible Gorgeous painstaking recreation of one of the most valuable cars of the Big Fin Era. Plymouth for 1960 was the last tall fin car, and of all the 60’s the Fury Convertible was the most flashy and attractive one. The Caramel Metallic Gold paint (original color) offset by the cream color front fender accent and cream top make this one of the most beautiful color combinations of the Big Fin Era. The Chrysler Corporation technology was cutting edge in 1960 as exemplified by the three-speed Torqueflite automatic and front torsion-bar suspension. The car also has the rare, unique and attention getting Swivel front seats with center arm rest. I have recently rebuilt the entire front suspension and the car steers and handles as it should. All the lights and instruments work, other than the clock. The car was repainted and reupholstered 2 years ago, and has a brand new top. I have had the car about 12 years, and taken it on many local trips without mechanical problems. The car is equipped with wide white wall 7.10 bias ply tires, that have about 2,000 miles on them. The hubcaps were an original '50's Plymouth option. All the chrome and trim is in very good to excellent shape. The swivel seats both work properly and at the push of a button turn and face outside to allow easy access for passengers.
