Up for auction is a 1967 Cadillac de Ville convertible. This is a very nice driver-quality vehicle that runs excellent and is ready to drive anywhere. It is equipped with the original 429 c.i. engine that starts with the flick of a key and runs smooth and quiet, and the transmission shifts very nice as well. The body is very solid with the only issue being some very minor bubbling starting to come through in a couple spots around each rear wheel well that is barely noticeable, but the the rest of the car is very nice and all of the body panels line up great and the doors open and close very nice and easy. It has had a repaint several years ago and shows its wear in a few spots, but still retains a nice shine and looks very good. All of the original floors and frame are in immaculate condition with no rust or rot showing anywhere. The interior is an excellent shape as well with all of the seats, door panels and dash pad in very clean and nice driver-quality condition, and all of the factory tinted glass is in great shape with no cracks or chips. It is a highly optioned car, with six-way power seat, power vent and side windows, power locks, telescopic and tilt steering wheel, air conditioning and cruise control. All of the lights and gauges work as well, and all four matching tires still have excellent tread on them. The convertible top is the original top and is showing its age in a few spots, but it is completely intact and still looks presentable. All of the chrome and stainless is in very nice driver-quality shape, with the grille and both the front and rear bumpers being very straight and solid with no rust or rot and the chrome still having a very nice shine. This vehicle was purchased from the second owner in 2012 and has only been driven during the summer and has been well maintained. Within the last two years, it has had a new exhaust put on it, updated brakes, and all new shocks installed as well. I also have the original trunk lining, convertible top boot, spare tire and bumper jack assembly that goes with the car but are not pictured. This car is 47-years-old and is not a show car, but a very nice daily driver that you can hop in and drive anywhere as is, or would be a great candidate to restore to number-1 condition with some minor re-conditioning if that is what you're looking for.
