Couldn't be happier. I test drove the Seqouia, the Tahoe and a few others. None of them compared to the quality Ford has put into their new version of the Expedition.0 out of 1 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Autos Useron 04/07/04Overall5 starsAppearance0 starsComfort0 starsPerformance0 starsValue0 starsReliability0 starsNo trim specified for this reviewThis is my 3rd Expedition (1998 XLT / 2000 Eddie Bauer / 2004 Eddie Bauer) and by FARRRR the best! I love the new 04 looks.. the smart/functional features like folding 3rd row seats, rear end sensor, etc. I've owned Chrysler, Ford, Chevy's, BMW's, Toyota and Honda cars. I've gone back to Ford Expeditions for a good reason.. Value/Safety/Style/Power.. Bought this one Jan 2nd and I'm still enjoying the look, the ride, the power and the VALUE! The other day.. my tire sensor went off.. my initial reaction was maybe it was faulty.. wrong... it was a slow leak due to a huge nail!!! The sensor worked and could have possibly saved me from getting into an road incident! 'Cant say enough about this SUV!3 out of 3 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Excellent turning ratio! My kids love it! Will probably own longer than any car I've ever had! Thanks, Ford.0 out of 0 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes NoSweet!by matton 02/04/04Overall5 starsAppearance0 starsComfort0 starsPerformance0 starsValue0 starsReliability0 starsNo trim specified for this reviewthis suv is awesome. it is the 3rd one we have owned. the older models don't drive as well, but this one is so smooth even in the 3rd row. the power folding 3rd row seat is pretty slick and the dvd player is nice for long trips when your kids start to get antsy. i would suggest getting the eddie bauer version, b/c it is a lot nicer for not that much more.0 out of 0 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? If you are going spend the money and size of an SUV I recommend you get the Eddie Bauer version since it is a great entertainment car with the DVD in the back for the kids and the third seats can be raised or lowered electronically. Smooth handling on the freeway. Overall, a great family luxury SUV without the high luxury prices.0 out of 0 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes NoI was very pleasantly surprised!!by Paulon 02/12/04Overall5 starsAppearance0 starsComfort0 starsPerformance0 starsValue0 starsReliability0 starsNo trim specified for this reviewMy 10-year old daughter and I test drove the Expedition today and we both loved it. She was engrossed with the DVD entertainment system, which pleased me to no end, and I was impressed with the Eddie Bauer trim Expie. Great handling, "car-like" feel (I think the small leather-wrapped steering wheel gives it the car-like feel), nice thrust and plenty of well thought-out gadgets to inspire me. The sticker was well over 47K, but this dealer was "no hassle" and the number was 39.7 for this loaded beast. Plus, the sales guy was great and added-value in my opinion. We had previously tested the Nissan Armada and found it lacking in noise abatement and handling, and price. As we were pulling in we saw the new Infinti beast, modeled on the Armada...looks nice for a "base" price of 50K...forget-about-it!2 out of 2 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Smooth RideConsBrake Dust on Front wheels is a pain. Need a 10" DVD Screen!!!!I bought the Truck in July'04, (live in MD), took it to FL with my family (Wife and 4 kids) and it's the BEST SUV I ever owned. I have the DVD entertainment system and it kept the Kids entertained on the entire trip. I test drove the Nissan Armada and Chevy Tahoe and neither vehicle compare to the Expdition in ride comfort or price. It's now December and I just came back from NC and ran into the 1st snow storm of the season. I must say, high visibility of the Truck and A4WD feature was great and comforting. I have the Eddie Bauer with all options, and I would recommed anyone buying an SUV to get the EB Expedition. I have driven it for six months and haven't found any problems.
