Vehicle Detail
Selling my 1982 Mercedes 300 turbo-diesel wagon. I've had it for about 7 years and have taken good care of it mechanically. All miles in were put on it in central texas. No rust except for two small quarter sized places in rear wheel wells. Transmission was completely rebuilt about 18 months ago and tran. filter and fluid replaced a couple months ago. Oil was just replaced and engine runs well. Interior is showing it's age but still comfortable.. Front seats could use re-upholstery or covers but they're still firm. Hate to sell her but have to get a delivery van for my new business and can't afford an extra vehicle. She's been the most dependable and comfortable to drive car i've ever had. Since i bought it in 2004 the speedo seems to be read 10mph less than actual speed. Running solid otherwise. I've had 3 mechanics looks at the speedo discrepency and they all just scratched their heads..I didn't even notice it for almost 2 years. There's a small dent on passenger side behind rear passenger door, otherwise body and paint are in good shape and all original. Dashboard is in great shape. Stereo is solid and front and rear speakers were replaced with cerwin-vega's. The wood panel under the shifter has lost it's veneer, but the wood underneath is still solid and can be restained/sealed. same with the small panel around the air controls. Just had pads and rotors replaced up front and new engine mounts as well. Only thing i know needs to be addressed soon are the front control arm bushings as they're starting to wear out. Needs new A/C Compressor which including labor will run about $500-700. Still has original metal top radiator and is not leaking coolant. Needs some work but dependable and so nice to drive. Gets 25-28mpg on average. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
