For Sale is a 1926 Ford Model T that has been in storage since 1985. The car was driven into the garage where it was stored, and is believed to be an original car as per the owner of the car. When the car was put into the storage garage with a water tight roof and concrete floor the starter was removed from the car, was brought in for rebuild and lost by the rebuilder. The car sat there untouched covered and in dry storage. After removing the car from storage, I bought a new starter and Bendix drive, installed a new Interstate battery. I then removed the gas tank, installed a clean tank to rid the car of the old fuel. The car originally had a Vaporizer carburetor on it, but for reliability a Holley NH carb was installed. Along with the carb being replaced the intake and exhaust manifolds were replaced with new gaskets. The sediment bowl was also replaced with a new unit. Engine oil changed and fired it up. The car runs and drives, although it was a limited amount of time I drove the car, due to my complete lack of experience driving a Model T. Forward works in both gears, as well as reverse. The brakes work also. It also runs on both ignition sources, the key can be switched and will run on either position. The head lights work. The spokes are all in good condition, the tires are the same as when removed from storage and the left rear does not hold air. The original wooden floor is all there and in good shape. The interior is complete, including headliner. The exhaust is louder than it should be under the car and could benefit from a new muffler. All of the glass is there and in good shape. The window cranks and door handles all operate. The door locks are not in the car. I tried my best to take pictures of the car to show both good and bad. I cannot for all certainty say that the car is original paint, but the current owner of the car believes that it is.The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early.The car is still considered used, there is no warrantys or guarantee included and is sold as is. The number on the frame is 14091564 which would date the car with a build date of Aug 1926.
