Up for auction is a very very clean ORIGINAL 1980 Jeep CJ-5. I can not say enough about this jeep. The value, collectability, rareity....its all there! This 33 year old cj still has its 100% steel body (no filler) dressed in its original tan color. Not only is the body original, rust free, filler free, straight, and clean so is the motor! The original iron duke 4cyl numbers matching motor with just over 50,000 ORIGINAL MILES!!! These are very rare and near non exisitant in this condition with these miles. The motor doesnt smoke, knock, leak, drip...it purrrrrs like a kitten. Also the drivetrain is all original with a 4 speed and 4x4. Everything functions flawlessly. The interior was coated with chip guard just over 3 years ago and look how it still shines!!!! This jeep was kept in a climate controlled facility and driven only several times per year. The breaks are good, disc in the front and drum in the rear. The steering is great thanks to a new gearbox and power steering!!! Another rare find for the iron duke. The tires and wheels are in excellent condition. The floorpans are even original and rust free!!! The seats are new and look great and provide plenty of comfort. The jeep also has new exhaust, battery, and front shocks. As for the frame, flawless. No rust, no rot, nothing!!! Ive been a fan of cjs for a long time and have had the pleasure to own a ton of them! Trust me when I say you dont find them like this!!! The originality is unreal. A jeep fan, cj fan, or collector would LOVE this vehicle. Never off road or abused. Ive had the jeep for nearly 4 years and have had not a single issue with it. Also, the gas tank and filters are all new. This isnt a fixer upper or a mechanic special. This is the real deal, fully functioning all original, excellent condition, rust and rot free Cj. I would challange anyone to find a 33 year old cj with the original body and motor with these miles and in this condition! There are a few out there but they arent easy to find.
