ITEM DESCRIPTION AND FEATURES:Here folks is a very nice and rare 1979 chevrolet silverado, short bed, lifted 4x4 that makes all people curious. If you stop somewhere plan on talking for 10 plus minutes, at least, but what a fun truck and you will meet alot of neat people and hear alot of stories. Truely awesome folks, with a little time and a small amount of money you could have a trophy winner at every show you go to with this truck we are sure of it. With a no reserve auction sold to high bidder. So folks, you are bidding what it's worth to you and I have no idea what that may be but I am sure you do. We will do our very best to describe this chevy silverado as accurate as we can and I will be telling and showing you as much as I can with the description and pictures. Ok, here we go. You are looking at this 1979 chevy silverado that has been slightly modified. It is a short bed truck that was built several years ago for a show truck but also to be driven to the shows and also a personal driver. The truck still sports its silverado factory chrome trim package, it also has chrome mirrors, sliding rear window, rear cab spoiler and front cab visor along with a real nice cowl induction hood. This trucks' driveline features a 350 motor with a holley 4 barrel carb with a complete set of 3 inch dual exhaust pipes hooked to a pair of headers that sound great, and a 3 speed automatic transmission, high-low 4x4 transfer case, the suspension has a 6 inch re-arched front and rear springs which allow you the room to run these BFGoodrich A/T 35x12.50x15 inch tires on aluminum M/T wheels that are riding on the 6 lug solid axles, steel braided brake lines and lock out hubs. Folks look, this truck was built right. Listen folks, the miles on the odometer reads as 83926 and this may vary by a few miles depending on bidders coming to test drive. HERE IS WHAT WE KNOW:Interior Condition: This chevrolet silverado sports a very nice set of very clean and comfortable cloth bucket seats also clean carpet and rubber mats. Dash is very nice, no cracks found and has a set of factory gauges along with many added gauges, fuel pressure and tach. Stereo system is a jvc am/fm/cd player with a 300 watt 2 channel mobile authority unit and looks to have an equalizer under seat, also and there are a set of speakers between seats and also the headliner is a custom built from highliner cycle sound and has built in speakers, as for getting am/fm we did not, it just searched but we put in a cd and it worked fine, probably a loose antenna wire. Heat, wipers, lights, horn... etc, all seem to be in working order. (folks we work hard on these ads and details and up to date photos and try to miss nothing).Exterior Condition: Paint is nice and looks very good with lots of shine. There is some minor blistering and a few chips, minor fading in the paint at various spots. But really folks this truck looks super. Truck appears to be very solid and pretty much rust free for 33 years old. The floors and frame and all mounts and supports look to be in very good condition with only minor surface rust spotting in areas, we found no rust on door bottoms or around hinges or at tailgate hinges- very solid, the floor of the bed and wheel wells are all original and no rust found in these areas. And folks we put it on our lift for you to see it. As we mentioned, the truck still has the silverado trim and wheel well mouldings and it all seems to be in very nice condition. Truck does have a fiberglass cab protector and visor and a very nice looking cowl induction hood . Again it looks absolutely great and seems rock solid. Tires have decent tread but do show some age and dry crack. Hope these pictures help all you. Also again this is a good looking chevy silverado and is advertised as well as we can explain and picture it to all our possible bidders. All pictures are recent and taken 1 or 2 days prior to ad posting we give you the real up to date news and photos on what you are buying.Driveline Condition: Ok, to all bidders this is what we know, This chevy has a rebuilt 350 motor which has a holley 4 barrel carb hooked to it and headers that support a 3inch dual exhaust from front to back with no catalytic converters just a great sounding set of mufflers and we mean it sounds great. As for the transmission, it has also been rebuilt. It is a 3 speed automatic hydramatic, which we found as you drive it will slip at times between 2nd and 3rd gear, when you get on it acts like passing gear is not working properly or sticking, (fluid looks new and no smell), 4x4 works fine high and low transfer case all working properly. Folks, this truck was only to have less than 5000 miles since all this work was done but I can not document this so we tell you what we see and find out with pictures and details and work very hard for these details. As for the rebuilds we can see they appear to have been done and folks this truck has had less than 400 miles put on it in the past 16 months - so it is possible just normal adjustments and new maintenancemaintencemaintenance and being driven a few miles this may be all this truck needs. We see no reasons or concerns why the winning bidder should have any problem driving this truck home. You really will love how it looks.
