Vehicle Detail
1993 Mazda RX-7 with SBC 350 V8 Swap with clean title for sale. car has a Chevy small block 350 with a Borg Warner T5 transmission. engine has about 18 k miles, MSD ignition with new pro billet distributor with crab cap and blaster coil(except for Summit Racing capacitive ignition box), "mild" Edlebrock cams, Holley 600 4 barrel carburetor and fuel regulator, custom mandrel bent powder coated headers, remote oil filter with oil cooler. transmission is newly rebuilt and has a new clutch and internal throw-out bearing and came from a Camaro Z28 It is newly rebuilt for track use having a solid cut second gear but is very streetable. Car was converted using the FDV8 conversion kit from Grannys speed shop. Car has new EBC cross drilled and slotted rotors and red stuff brake pads and painted calipers, new fuel filter and fuel pump , lowered suspension with Tokico gas shocks, 17" wheels and tires with about 500 miles on them Custom gauge faces, Custom shifter, many custom brackets for various things (radiator, oil filter, alternator...) Paint is faded in some spots but i compounded a few spots and there is good paint under there. asside from a few minor scratches and dings, the body is great. No rust. The car is able to be driven at this point but it isn't completely finished. I drove it for about 5 miles to move it from where it was built with no issues. The engine still needs to be tuned for peak horsepower but the engine was previously dynode at 350 horsepower in the car it was in before. Those numbers were made without the current ignition, carb, or headers which have all been improved. It's estimated to be at about 400 horsepower, 400 foot pounds of torque. Here is a list of things it still needs: throttle cable to be hooked up correctly (Just rigged up to work at the moment)needs bypass loop in coolant system ( currently has thermostat removed so fluid is always flowing through radiator)needs hood to be finished (finish prep and paint) hook up power steering pump (or eliminate it!)finish exhaust systemfix or replace crack in rear windshield plexiglassreroute fuel lines ( running to close to engine)hook up cooling fan to run off coolant temp (i have a switch in the cabin to control it now)hook up gaugesBrake system fully bleedodds and ends such as clean up wiring, re install all interior panels (which are all there) On Jan-06-13 at 15:17:00 PST, seller added the following information: To address a few things i've been getting questions about: No, there isn't any rust on the car. It was originally from Southern California where it was in the desert until 2004 when it was shipped to New York. It was driven here for about 6 months before it was stored until about a year ago. Being that it spent most of its life in the desert, the paint is somewhat faded but it didn't rust. No, the car was not affected by Hurricane sandy. Huntington, where the car was stored and built, is on the north shore of Long Island where its about 100 feet above sea level. the car actually hasn't seen a drop of rain in about a year.I can show the car evenings during the week. just contact me and I'd be glad to set something up with you
