Vehicle Detail

PLEASE READ THIS AD CAREFULLY!!! This truck should only be purchased by someone who has mechanical abilities and wants a project. I made the mistake of purchasing it through an auction without thoroughly checking into it first. The person I purchased it from said it "runs and drives". Technically not a lie, however, it doesn't run and drive WELL. I want to be as honest as I can here, so I am including a scan of the diagnostic I had done through City Garage after I bought the truck. My original intention was to buy the truck at a low cost, clean it up and resell it at a profit. As you can see from the City Garage receipt, it probably needs a new engine. I don't want to put a rebuilt engine in it unless I intend to keep it and use it, so I am going to see if someone else might want to do that. I have also been told by two other mechanics that if I simply replace the heads (or resurface the existing heads), it will run just fine. Again, too much for me to deal with.....I am a single mom and really don't have time to deal with it. It seems that the 5th and 6th cylinders are not firing properly. It would be a great work truck/project truck or good for someone that wants to use it for parts. Note that the outside isn't in perfect condition either....it does have it's share of dents and dings since it is so old, but again, it would be an OK work truck. I've tried to get some good pictures, but will be happy to take more if you want them. I don't know too much about the history of the truck as I have only had it for a little over a month. I'll answer any questions I can. All turn signals, brake lights, etc. seem to be in working condition and the radio even works! We did drive the truck back from Argyle to Dallas (about a 50 mile trip), and it starts up every time. It has a new battery in it as well. Like I said, it runs and drives...it just doesn't run and drive well. Please email me if you have any questions. Thanks and happy new year!On Jan-08-13 at 05:48:53 PST, seller added the following information: PLEASE READ THIS AD CAREFULLY!!! Update 1/8/13: I made a short video of the truck which you can view by going to this link on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_YWEDQk5Bk There you can see the engine more closely while running, etc.
