Vehicle Detail
Unfortunately it's time for me to part ways with my 1972 Cadillac Superior Combination, built for ambulance or hearse duty. It is a Superior model 605 (1 of 175 built this year) and has a partition, rear climate control, and two rear jump seats. I was driving her around town and it was great until the motor seized. She does not currently run or turn over. This car started its life as a demo model at Superior Coach Sales of St. Louis, MO. I don't know anything about its service history afterwards, but she somehow ended up in California. The odometer reads 24k but it could be 124k. Have 2 ignition keys, but no door key. Originally painted silver, but poorly resprayed black. Has some rust and a few mysterious sawzall cuts in the sheetmetal, body needs some straightening and has some bondo. Needs a few lenses replaced, weather seals, etc, etc. I have all of the missing trim. Interior is in decent shape, front seat has rip, needs a few parts put back on, but I have them. Rollers in the back are non-original and haven't been screwed down. Engine is seized, I think the oil pump failed. Before it seized I replaced the timing chain and gears, water pump, belts and radiator hoses. The brakes work great, and the transmission seems fine. She does need new tires and exhaust pipe has a dent. Overall, she's a very complete project car that needs lots of TLC. Good candidate for a big restoration, or simply rebuild the motor and you've got a creepy cruiser. I'm happy to answer any questions you have. VIEW PICTURES OF HER HERE: http://www.flickr.com/photos/20049255@N02/sets/72157632044017488/ It is an older project car described to the best of my abilities. Sold as-is, buyer is responsible for shipping. Car is for sale locally, I reserve the right to end auction at any time. A $200 non-refundable deposit due within 48 hours by winning bidder. I'm happy to work with the shipping company, but please pick her up with reasonable speed before the neighbors run me outta town!
