I'm selling my 1999 Suzuki Esteem. I am getting my fathers work car so this car has to go. It is a great car it has 143,000 miles on the body and less than 85,000 on the motor. I had the motor and clutch replaced in the fall of 2012 about two months ago. The new/used motor runs great and it was installed professionally. It does have a custom hitch, my father and I built, I would say it's good for about 1,000 pounds. The picture has two 250lbs dirt bikes and a 150lbs trailer. Because it is a manual it does okay with this much weight but it dramatically hurts your MPG with the small 1.6L engine. The car gets great MPG, at 65 on the interstate I get over 40MPG and about 35MPG in town. This car would make a great work car or someones first car, it has a lot of life left in it. The back seats lay down and make the car very practical. After owning this car I will always own a wagon due to their versatility and practicality. The car has some damage, the amount you would expect for a 140,000 mile car. The front passenger side fender has a whole in it and there are two small rust spots on the passenger door and under the rear passenger door, (shown in the pictures) The clutch makes a noise when the pedal is pushed in, however it was this way before the new clutch and the mechanic said the old clutch was in good shape when he replaced it. I would recommend and alignment. When I had the tires put on I was told it needed one. It has new breaks on the rear and new tires on the rear. The front passenger side lower control arm was just replaced.
