1987 Mercedes Benz 420SEL 134k miles, good running condition, better than average paint with few blemishes and only a few rough spots. Recent timing chain/tensioner/rails, front brakes, alternator and underhood pad. Professional buff and glaze by a reputable local body shop last Fall. First sold at Globe Motors in Fairfield, NJ to a local doctor, acquired by me about 4 years ago as a third vehicle with approximately 124k on the clock and a clean VMI report from my local MB dealer. Since I acquired it, it's only been serviced by two local Mercedes master techs. Needs: left rear window regulator slips off track (I have a new one that will come with the car); AC functions but is currently disconnected as the belt was worn and I didn't feel the need to replace; air pump is noisy on cold start, but quiets down in minutes and operates fine otherwise. Driven regularly in the summer, mostly highway use back and forth to the shore, but stored winters and hasn't seen snow since I got it. A fun summer cruiser that can hold plenty of friends and/or cargo if needed. Unfortunately, we recently moved and I lost my winter storage. This car is an oldie but a goodie. Not perfect, but excellent inexpensive transportation for someone who likes these old boats and enjoys tinkering on the weekends as needed. Car is located in Northern Bergen County and can be inspected by appointment most evenings and weekends.
