Vehicle Detail
1997 MERCEDES BENZ E300 DIESEL. Green with light tan interior. Gets great mileage 34+ on the highway. Interior is in great shape, no tears. It has a Virginia inspection good through August 2013. The car handles very well on the road and has a very tight turning radius. This Mercedes is a high mileage car at 276000. It is hard to start on very cold mornings and sounds like a school bus. It has a new k40 module, new power steering pump, new alternator. It needs a new instrument cluster as the gauges stopped working ( I am using my old gps as a speedometer),the AC just stopped working the sunroof does not work well, and other little things. I drive it most days, in fact I just drove my son to and from college this weekend, about 350 miles. Please let me know if you have any questions. On Dec-12-12 at 19:15:29 PST, seller added the following information: includes in-dash JVC hd radio, cd changer tied into the Bose system. Sounds great. I have driven the car over 600 miles since Friday the 7th of Dec.On Dec-14-12 at 17:19:27 PST, seller added the following information: A few people had asked about the car starting in the cold. It is in the mid 30s here and when I start the car it runs a little rough and loud. The noise did not sound like the motor I went to the front of the car and it seemed the sound was coming from the hood vibrating, (you could not see it only feel it) I pressed down on the hood and the noise went away, I do not know if this is shrunken rubber hood stops or hood hydraulic lifts (the hood stays open just fine). It is also a little louder in drive with the brakes on (like at a stop light) as opposed to in park or neutral I was told I may have a loose engine mount. When the car is driving, even cold, it sounds fine and quiet (for an old diesel). It is nice to drive and takes corners very well.
