Thank you for looking at my ad for this Porsche 911 RSR. There is a lot of information here, please read the entire ad before bidding, buying, or asking questions. I have tried to include many photographs, please inspect and scrutinize. Also, please be aware that by bidding on this Porsche, you agree to all the sales terms described in this ad. Your bid is considered a contract, and I have specific rules about the purchase of this car and expectations from you, the potential buyer. Check my feedback, I do everything I can to keep my buyers satisfied and happy, and I believe you will be one more happy customer. By bidding on this car, you will be expected to follow the following guidelines: A) If you have ZERO, or negative feedback as a buyer, please contact me before bidding with you contact information. It is expensive to list a car ad here on ebay, and I do not want to have to deal with ‘buyers’ who are thrill bidding and not prepared to actually make a purchase. B) If you win this auction, you will be expected to make a $1000 deposit at the conclusion of the auction, and the balance will be due within 5 days of the end of the auction. If this is problematic for you, contact me BEFORE bidding to discuss. C) Balance to be paid by any means other than Paypal. D) Car is available here at my shop in Portland, OR, and collection costs and responsibility are solely that of the buyer. I can help get a shipping quote for you, and can store car for you, for free, for up to one month inside my building here. That’s about it.. Now, onto the car! I have owned this 1974 Porsche 911 RSR re-creation for about 8 years now. It was originally a 1977 Porsche 911S non-sunroof coupe which I found hibernating in a garage with only 70K miles on it. It had been parked since the early 1980s and had it’s engine taken out for some reason that was never explained to me, and I was not asking questions as the body was in such excellent condition. My intention from the beginning was to make an RSR out of it, and I loved the original Orange paint. I brought it home, and from there sourced original Porsche 930 turbo steel front fenders, and rear flares. I had my body shop butt-weld the rear flares in place and replace the front fenders. All glass and seals were removed from the car, and car was re-painted on the outside with correct German paint. Paint match was perfect, and all door jambs, under-hood areas, in engine compartment, all match. Car is absolutely brilliant as a beginning shell for you to make your recreation from: Race car? 930 Turbo? Continue in the RS/RSR vein? Car has NEVER had any accident repairs, or rust. Floors, suspension points, gas tank support and battery boxes are all perfect and original. Engine compartment is original and perfect. Floors are perfect. Paint is perfect with no blemishes or chips. INTERIOR: Car still has its 1977 dash with center vent, which would not be original for 1974, but as the dash was perfect, original and crack-free I elected to keep it there and have some face ventilation. Most gauges are missing from the dash. Glove box cardboard is warped. Door is perfect. As you may be able to see, I removed all the interior, sound proofing, and sourced a correct Carrera RS Perlon felt interior and have installed most of it. The RS door panels and leather door release pulls are here and never-installed. The car does NOT have seats included with the sale. HEADLINER is brand-new installed correct white German piece, and interior lights are already installed. GLASS needs to be installed, and I do NOT have a rear window for the car (But I do have an early clear 1965/ 1966 rear window that could be fitted for now to have the car safely moved without getting wet inside. Car DOES COME WITH new windshield seal, rest of carpet set, dirty windshield pictured here, all RS interior door panels and hardware, and 1977 oil tank for engine compartment, 915 shifter assembly, Emergency brake lever and heater lever assembly, wiring harness for entire car is installed and non-molested, all brake circuit plumbing is present. Has 911SC aluminum rear trailing arms installed. ENKEI WHEELS ARE NOT INCLUDED, UNLESS YOU 'BUY IT NOW' - The wheels are in no way original and not nearly wide enough for the fender flares. Steel spare 'roller wheels' will be included on the car in order to move and transport however. Vintage Enkei wheels here will be for sale for $500 extra, or alone, if necessary or wanted. WHAT IS MISSING FROM THIS CAR: Engine/ transmission. Brake calipers. Axles. Rear bumper has gone AWOL over the years. Rear heated window. One quarter window. Front seats, speedometer and tachometer. Lights and lenses (Although I may have some blinkers/ tail lights/ lenses here if you are interested) WHAT IS NOT PICTURED, BUT INCLUDED WITH CAR: Door cap tops, door panels (new) , oil tank, windshield seal, interior trim, 915 shifter, clear/early rear window, new front fender seals. Gas tank door flap and filler neck, More hardware, in boxes. FRONT BUMPER – Correct RSR fiberglass bumper, was accidentally painted Viper Green by my paint shop (They were also painting a 1973 RS I had at the time and were confused..) but is otherwise brand-new and never-installed, and included in the sale. You will need to buy a rear bumper, and when you have that painted you can have the front done as well to match. This is an EXCELLENT opportunity for you if you have ever wanted a turbo-look 930 , lightened race car, or maybe….even… a Carrera RSR of your own? Most of the work for the body has been done already for you, add it up: A) A rust-free and perfectly straight original galvanized 911 body (about $5K by itself) B) Correct steel 930 fenders and flares ($2K) Professional, excellent paint job, including having headliner removed and replaced, glass removed, bumpers and all lights removed ($7K) , RS Perlon felt interior and door panel kit ($700) , plus installation thus far ($500+) perfect dash ($1K) , plus all the time in finding, towing back and forth to body and paint shop, time spent waiting for car to get back and making sure work was done correcty…. (Months/ years) - You’ll see my asking price is very reasonable. Considering these clone cars, once finished fetch $50K and up , and I think this is a reasonable price for a great head start. YOU ARE ENCOURAGED to come and take a look for yourself if you live close or can manage to make the trip. I think you will be delighted with the car, but I also think when spending this much money it is better to be safe than sorry. Do you have a friend or someone in the Porsche club who can come and take a look for you? Please do. IT SHOULD ALSO BE NOTED that when I decided to list this car for sale last week, I could not find the title and went down to DMV to file for a lost title. All paperwork went through fine, and the title will be mailed to me in 30 days’ time. Be aware however that the actual title will not be in my hands for a month. I will still require that the deposit is paid and car paid for as per instructions detailed at the beginning of this ad. IF YOU DO NOT SEE IT IN THE AD, assume it is not here, unless I described it in the ad text. Please message with any questions, or feel free to all me at 503-505-7113. this car is for sale locally as well, and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time, so I would suggest NOT WAITING until the end of the auction to bid. If you really want the car, you should bid early or better yet, Buy It Now. Most of my car auctions do not make it to the end, and after they disappear, I always get the emails; “… Is your car still available? I was going to bid…” and I have to regretfully inform the bidder that the car is now gone. Thank you for reading all of this, I am sure I forgot some things, please forward any questions and I will answer them as soon as I can.
