You are bidding on a 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 2-door hardtop. The car is equipped power steering and power brakes along with the original 352 c.i. 4bbl, dual exhaust engine and automatic transmission, with just over 96,000 original miles. The Galaxie runs excellent and starts with the flick of the key and the transmission shifts tight. It passed the N.Y. state inspection this spring and was driven on a regular basis on nice days this past summer. The car itself is very solid and all of the body-lines are straight. It has had a repaint a number of years ago and the patina has faded a bit over the years but it still looks very presentable overall with the only issues being some minor bubbling on each of the rear wheel wells which can be fixed very easily. All of the original floors are rock solid with the exception of a minor hole about the size of a tennis ball underneath the back seat, which is also in easy fix. The interior is very clean and presentable with everything in nice, driver-quality shape, and all of the lights, gauges and radio work as well. All of the glass is in excellent shape with no cracks and all of the side windows roll up and down nice. The chrome is straight and in nice driver-quality shape, still holding a nice shine with minimal wear, and the grille being perfect and straight to near show-quality. Overall, this is a great driver-quality vehicle that still gets a lot of looks and compliments at car shows and cruise-ins and will drive anywhere as it stands right now. Or, it would be a perfect and easy candidate to restore to show quality if that is what you're looking for. Sold as is.
