Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a beautiful and very original 1976 Porsche 911S Targa. Dark black over Tan leather interior. Very nice original Fuchs wheels. This 1976 car is a 2 owner car and has spent most of its life in Germany. It was bought new by a gentleman in Santa Barbara, California. He was in the armed forces and was sent to Germany “Ramstein” where he stayed until 1986. During that time the car was regularly serviced at Georg Rittersbacher Porsche dealership in Kaiserslautern as well as the Porsche factory in Zuffenhausen. The car received a complete engine rebuild at Porsche Factory in Zuffenhausen at mileage 56,000. The first owner then sold the car to the second owner in 1998 who used it as his third car on weekends only. The car has been garaged its entire life. The car starts right away even after sitting for two weeks, zero loss of battery power. Very powerful acceleration and nice handling in curves. Straight as an arrow. I could not find any rust at all on the car. Engine and trunk compartment very clean. You will even find the original protection wax coat in the trunk department. Underneath the car is very clean as you can see on the pictures. SS heater boxes and free flow exhaust installed when termal reactors where removed. Targa top and liner replaced as well. For better cooling, a thermostatically controlled radiator oil cooling system was installed. Car operates with oil temperatures below 210F in 100F ambient temperature. The car shifts very nice but these gearboxes are nothing for beginners. Especially when shifting down you need to be careful and need to know where your gear is to avoid unpleasant gearbox noise. I have new shifter bushings that I will hand to the new owner. The interior looks very nice as well. No crack in dashboard. The seats where recently recovered with original leather. Smooth as silk. Original factory stickers in door jams. There is a scratch on the passenger door which can be easily fixed. I will take care of this through my local five star body shop at “direct buy”. I have never seen a car with better documentation. The entire history is meticulously documented with a complete binder holding 78 receipts and invoices since day one as well as the stamped warranty booklet. The car comes with: 4 original Fuchs wheels 2 original Keys 1 original owner’s manual 1 folder with approx. 78 invoices showing complete service history since new 1 warranty & 1 maintenance booklet with stamps 1 original and never used Tool kit 1 spare tire 1 original German Blaupunkt Radio I am located two hours from the port of New York and can assist in shipping the car to Europe.
