This could be the tuffest truck ever made.... 1985 Toyota Helix extended cab EFI or fuel Injection with a straight axel. This is a very rare truck as they only made the straight axel and the fuel injection for one or two years( 1985-1986). I have been looking for one of these trucks for years, so when it came available in our local classified ads I was excited to buy it. This truck has 140,000 original miles on it. The truck came from the dry desert which is it why it was as clean and rust free as it is. I have been working on this truck for the past year in my spare time. I have thousands of dollars and countless hours into it; only quality parts where used. When I got the truck home I was sad to find out it had a blown head gasket. I should say at this point that I work on and restore cars for a living. I soon found out the head gasket had blown because the fan was not spinning and the fan shroud was missing. I had the head completely rebuilt by a good machine shop. The Head was resurfaced, the valves and guides were replaced. The short block or bottom end of the motor was checked out and was in great shape. Everything back together with new fan and fan shroud and it runs great. I have also added a new fuel pump, new fuel filter, new rims with newer tires, new clutch and clutch slave cylinder, new radiator, and I am sure I am missing a ton of other items. The body work was done although it did not need much as it was very straight and clean. It really only had a few dents and dings. The paint is high quality with three coats of clear, The paint scheme is the original gray with a nice blue . The design on the hood is reminiscent of the time period, I was going for something similar to the stock graphics that came on these trucks back in the day. I have had many, many compliments on the paint job. Things that still need to be done, to complete it: The interior needs a little TLC; it is all there but needs some cleaning, I have found some nice arm rests and a center console from the Junk yard that I will include in the auction. The passenger seat is in good shape, the driver’s side frame was broken, I have fixed it but it has a rip in the side. I was going to get it reupholstered or you could just throw some seat covers on it. It needs a few miscellaneous small things. The drivetrain is great and it is ready to be driven The truck has a very low reasonable reserve so bid to win. Ask any questions, and I will respond promptly. I hope this truck will go to a home that will take care of it and use it. Please do not bid unless you are serious about paying.
