The body is in very good condition – no rust through anywhere that I can see. There is of course surface rust and heavy rust areas by the wheel wells, but NO rust through. Clean it up and treat it and you will be fine. The battery box is completely gone as with most 300-rds this is the first thing to go. I have added NOTHING or removed NOTHING from this car with the exceptions listed below. The car is exactly as I purchased it in a lot of two cars several years ago. A title was not available when I purchased the car so of course, no title is offered. The VIN number plate is present and you should have no problem obtaining a sheriffs or abandoned vehicle title. I will include an affidavit to my purchase of the car and a bill of sale. Please note: some where in this listing this is called a 1962. I actually have not idea what year it is because of the lack of title - some internet research should allow you to get the year based upon the VIN number. Here is what I have added: Four surface rust only two piece wheels. These will clean up very nicely and if they are powder coated will look great – the wheels that were on the car were absolutely un-usable. On the four wheels you will find approximately 80 to 85 percent life remaining Michelin tires. The tires that came with the car were totally shredded. I have removed nothing that came with the car! A good indicator of this the set of actual BMW brand new hub caps that came with the car – just try and find a set of those! What you get is what you see in the pictures. It looks like most (but not all) of the pieces are present to make up two 300 engines and two transmissions. I would guess that with picking and choosing a complete engine and transmission is present. I would count on an average amount of machine work. Of course you will find several parts that you will need but I would say the car is 90+ percent complete. Notice also the set of seven large parts location sheets – these are displayed just to show you there are available. If you purchase the car I will give you the address from where a set can be purchased (not from me). These copies are for my personal use and cannot be shared or distributed as they are under copy-right. The glass is very good with the exception of the front windshield which contains a crack. It is up to the buyer to come see and further inspect the car before the end of the auction.--> On Nov-29-12 at 10:20:42 PST, seller added the following information: Description Addition One: A very sharp eyed fellow asked if one of the dynastart armatures in the pictures was for a 600 instead of a 300. He was dead on. I had not noticed this, I had simply empied out the car and spread the parts on the floor. I have since replaced this 600 armature with the proper 300 armature. A second fellow ask if there was a carburator included. It turns out there was not a carb in all the parts. I have since added a completely rebuild proper 300 carb and it will go with the car.
