Vehicle Detail

SURVIVOR! and a barn find. this torino will not fail to impress. all original except for paint. nice candidate for a restoration or starsky and hutch car.please call with questions. car runs and lot drives, but plan on trailering901 451 1376local pick up or will ship to lower 48 after funds received On Nov-27-12 at 10:22:45 PST, seller added the following information: Thanks for all your calls! 23 just the first day. I've learned a lot thanks to you Torino fanatics. I'll try to answer a few more of the most commonly asked questions for the 65 watchers who haven't called. 1> now i know it wasn't the starsky and hutch car. sorry, i wasn't alive for the show 2> worst rust i found on the car was the bottom of the hood. it is shown in pic3> the trunk rust is shown4> i have no history on the car other than it sat covered in a barn for 10-15 years. I'd say more like 20.5> it is not a cobra jet. 6> i have not pulled up carpet to look at floorboards. Assume there is rust and plasma cut the damn things out and put new ones. bonus points if factory are serviceable7> shifter and plug wires look to be aftermarket8> paint looks old and original, but trunk floor is kind of blue.. so who knows. needs to be painted anyway. I previously sated paint was not original. maybe, maybe not. 9> odometer shows 43K. assume its 143K cause i have no idea.10> tires hold air, i wouldnt drive on them. dry rot and flatspots11> I feel like i need a disclaimer so i dont mislead anyone. this is a car that needs restoration. I literally haven't done anything to it. If an item goes bad or rusts in a certain place on 90% of torinos, safe bet this one will have the same traits. HOWEVER, I had intentions do this car, and I am a Corvette guy. I don't think any ford guy who wants to restore a torino would walk up to it and say "well such and such is a deal breaker". Saturday I will take specific pics and post them or text them. I am out of town till then.On Nov-28-12 at 07:55:54 PST, seller added the following information: WOW guys, nice job. up to 80+ watchers and lots more calls! I am flying for the next three days, so I probably wont be able to field many calls. Many of you have asked and I almost have this stuff memorized now! VIN: 2A35H330852Date: 7/72Body: 63RColor: 9A (white) I guess whimbeldon white didn't show up till 74Trim: MWCTrans: WAxle: 2 Looks like the paint and laser stripe are factory from what a few experts have told me. This is the info on the factory sticker on door jam. I will do my best on Saturday to have the thing running out of factory tank where interested parties can come look at it in Memphis. I am out of town flying till Sat morning.
