Vehicle Detail
Welcome to my auction. You're bidding on a 1997 Honda Civic DX Coupe 2-Door with 201,550 miles. This car currently starts up and idles fine, but needs a part for the transmission to be in full working order again. If you don't want to deal with the hassle, you can pick up a used transmission for less than $200. I'd fix the car myself, but I picked up a new one and this is just sitting. You will need a flat trailer, dolly, or something to tow the car away as it's not drivable in it's current state . The car isn't the prettiest thing on the road (it has dings, dents, misaligned fender/nose panel, one mismatched wheel, and a little surface rust near the wheel well area), but still gets 28-33MPG highway. The matching wheel and tire are included with the car, but they don't hold air. Overall, it's a great vehicle for a college student or someone that needs cheap transportation that's reliable. Insurance is real cheap as well. I recently replaced the following: clutch, alternator, alternator belt, spark plugs, and radiator. The oil has been changed every 3,000 miles. It has an aftermarket intake as well. Here is what the car needs to be good mechanically: Fuel filter (sometimes hesitates at start-up but is runs smooth when the car warms up), exhaust hole welded shut (slight exhaust leak), 4-wheel alignment, oxygen sensor (CEL is throwing a code for it). The shift knob isn't threaded on. Both the driver's side and passenger side windows don't go down. They need window regulators. The driver's side door panel is missing. It never bothered me much because the heat and A/C both work great. Despite it's flaws, it's been a good car to me for the last 2 years and I'll be sad to let it go. The car is inspected until March of 2013. If you have less then 10 feedback, you will need to contact me prior to bidding or your bid will be canceled. DO NOT BID ON THIS AUCTION UNLESS YOU INTEND TO PAY. This auction is being offered at no reserve, so the highest bidder wins. Good luck and happy bidding!
