Vehicle Detail

Incredibly solid and original 1964 survivor Dodge Custom 880 Sedan. This car was sold new in Sparta, TN just 15 miles from its current home. This a very rare model Still has original sales invoice, original registration slip, original 1964 TN license plate, several service receipts and more than 40 years of registration slips. There are oil change stickers in door jamb from the '60's and '70's. This car was owned by the original family until last year. It was a literal barn find. Factory 383 with factory A/C. This is very honest, solid, unmolested, rare old Sedan. Will make a great cruiser, and you know you'll be the only one at the show! Runs great - smooth, strong, no smoke or rattles. Clean and tidy engine compartment. Push button Automatic works well. Steering is smooth but needs an aligment Rebuilt Brakes: Brake Booster, New Shoes, hoses, drums turned and trued ... but something still a little off. Brakes are only marginal and the engine runs rough when you step on the pedal so there must be a vacuum leak some where. New Exhaust Rebuilt Carb. Cleaned and sealed fuel tank Needs tires because of dry rot. They hold air just fine and have good tread. OK for slow drive around the block. Interior - All original, Nice Dash with only a few small imperfections, Seats are the original vinyl with cloth panels and the cloth is very weak up front and some tears in cloth inserts in the rear. Very nice Door Panels Body - Fantastically solid with the exception of a golf ball sized area with filler behind the lower rear edge of the back door , light scrape on passenger side. Paint is old but generally not too bad. A few spots of only surface rust. Just enough patina to give it character. A new paint job would be a real plus though. Fuel gauge does not work and I'm sure there are other little fixes to be done because she's been off the road for a few years. I have driven it around town a few times. I like old cars!
