Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is one nice 1971 Ford Wagon. This vehicle was recently purchased from a lien sale auction. The wagon does come with a salvage title but don't let this discourage you from buying it.This is a six passenger vehicle. The reason why it was salvage was because the carburetor caught on fire and damage the hood but has been repaired. The car comes with some rare factory options such as disc brakes, A/C that's not currently working but is all there, power windows, and power seats. The drivers side window is the only window that works. It could be a bad switch but just not sure. The interior is in great condition !!The headliner is all in tact and the dash is excellent as well. There is no cancer on the car and leaks no oils. The wagon runs just as it looks GREAT!!!! The sale will include the lien sale paper work and a bill of sale at the end of the auction. This is a no reserve auction so please bid with confidence.I just want to be honest and this is all I can tell you about the car as it was just purchased from the auction. I do not know any more history on the vehicle. The wagon looks to have been repainted at some time and does not look to be the original paint. The true mileage is unknown. Don't lose this opportunity to pick up a nice station wagon that is selling cheap. They do not come around in this condition and cancer free.I also wanted to note that the wagon is currently not in the DMV CA system, so the registration fee will be just for the current year here in CA.Here is the license plate number as well if you would like to call for more information about its registration fees 3QWC251 and the phone number to DMV 1-800-777-0133 Im really not sure how it would work for out of state so please check with your state. If you should have any questions please feel free to contact me and thanks for bidding. On Nov-19-12 at 20:06:39 PST, seller added the following information: Just wanted to add that I did some research and believe this has the 429 Motor Here are some numbers on the intake manifold behind the carburetor DOAE-9425-F. I googled them and its saying this is a 429 motor, so please do your research as well.I know for sure its not a 351 cleveland because I read that the water outlet on the block on a 351 is horizotal and on this motor its vertical. If this is a 429 its a great motor!!!! On Nov-23-12 at 17:54:17 PST, seller added the following information: So I just added some more pictures because of the overwhelming emails in regards to the wagon. I went over the car once again and found no cancer anywhere. I looked at all the door jams and tailgate jam and there as clean as a whistle. The motor bay is a little dirty but the motor purrrs... like a kitten. If you have been thinking about placing a bid on the wagon do not wait too long and don't lose the wagon for a $50.00 bid. Bid on it like you want it. I'm telling you, your not going to see another wagon like this for a long time in this type of condition. There is some surface rust underneath on the gas tank but nothing serious at all.Time is running out on this classic wagon, so good luck. If you still have any questions please feel free to email me.
