Come to Key West and drive home. I bought this car from an insurance company in 2001 and rebuilt it for my wife. It had 14000 miles on it when I bought it. It now has 26500 miles on it. The car runs fine and can go anywhere. Uses zero oil. We moved to Key West three years ago and had the car shipped here from WV. The top is good since the car was garaged until we came to Key West. The top looks real good. Tires are near new. The original tires were fine but since they were over 10 years old I had them replaced. There is no BMW dealer here so any service requires a trip to Miami and since I am older this is really inconvenient. I have a Z3 coupe being listed also since dealer service is absent here. Here are the negatives: The head liner in the top is loose and needs replaced. The automatic top mechanism does not work. The E36 BMW convertibles all had micro switch problems. A dealer is needed to fix. I have devised a manual way to lower and raise the top. Three of the four power windows work but are in slight misalignment. All windows are usable but need a dealer adjustment fix. There is a small rust beginning on the top of the passenger door. The interior is ok but I've had to put screws into the door panels to secure panels. The driver seat has the normal wearspot on the back and the passenger seat caught rain and has leather spot damage too. The spring on the glove compartment door is loose.
