Vehicle Detail

I have a Very Early Civilian (VEC) 1945 CJ-2A for sale with a clear Ohio title. There were only 1,824 of these made in 1945. This is number 353. It has been redone. There is no bondo, etc. in the vehicle. All numbers match on the frame horn, dash plate and under hood. The tailgate ACM is #376. From the date stamps on the axles, etc. the jeep was made during WW2, on or just prior to the day we dropped the bomb on Hiroshima. The engine has been rebuilt (red). It carries at least 40lbs. of oil pressure at idle and 60 lbs. when driving. It tracks straight down the road with no wobble. It is a rare 3 speed on the column as it should be. The shifter will sometimes jump out of second gear only on deceleration. I have not found it a problem to warrant a rebuild. Low/high 4wd work as they should. It is a 6volt system as it should be. All wiring has been replaced, all gauges are new and work. There is a rear seat which has been redone as have the others. There is no rust and it leaks very little if any oil. The gas tank, fuel lines and fuel pump are new. The windshield glass, seals, etc. have been replaced. The brakes are exceptional. There are no tool indents, that panel was replaced as were several other body panels when it was redone however the floor, tailgate, windshield, fenders, hood, grille and dash are origional. Frame off restoration and body work was done by a skilled welder. The vehicle comes with a receipt book, manual and tow bar. This is a very nice vehicle with an interesting history. Even though it has been rebuilt, there are no warranties. The jeep is sold as is where is. I will assist with shipping within reason at your cost. I would expect a non-refundable deposit of $200.00 within 24 hours of the close of the auction. Full payment through a bank check, money order or cash will be required and must clear before shipment. This is almost a one of a kind vehicle that has been well preserved over the 67 years of its life. Very low reserve. Feel free to ask further questions
