Vehicle Detail
When is the last time you got a present for you? A well maintained Red Mazda Miata with the tan (leather) interior and tan top. Car has the 17-inch Black wheels with nearly new tires, and a set of stock Silver Miata rims with New Studded snow tires, about 40 miles on the snows. I maintain the car very well with oil/filter every 2500 miles, trans/diff flush at 78000 miles, brake pads and one caliper 8000 miles ago, plugs a month ago and Sears Diehard Gold 3000 miles ago. I have driven the car on vacations to Florida and Washington State (grandkids in both places) and got 34/36 MPG at a steady 70 MPH. The little car is the soul of reliability. To those who think that I am asking too much for the car: please remember that there are miatas for sale and then there are MIATAS for sale. The upper-case cars have a good maintaince history, good upgrades, good color-combos and solid enhancements. Should you not follow this logic then you might be happier buying the least expensive miata you can find. Not trying ot offend anyone but this is the reality of car purchasing, you do get what you pay for. Please read my feedback and bid with confidence. Should you want to fly in and drive home I will meet you at the airport with a full-tank of fuel. The snowtires are already on. I had grown tired of the "heat-sink" effect of the black- top/black-cloth-seats when motoring in the summer,(when the car gets 99% of its miles) so I found a wrecked 99 miata with a good tan interior and top and swapped them over, smartest thing I have ever done. and then I searched for a set of the rare 1995 "Miata-M spec" seats which occured only in tan-leather. These had the Detachable Head Rests, they only made 1500 of the "M" cars that year and never made the detachable option again. I have found that they seem to make the interior more spacious and I carry one of the headrests in the trunk for the occasional on-the-road nap. The extra show-tires and rims were a dumb investment, I put them on for the winter and let the miata sleep in hte garage under a car-cover and function as a backup for my fullsize car, haven't had to really use it....but the snows are now on the car and the car is under its cover in the heated garage, O well. I replaced the intake box with a low restriction air cleaner setup (standard box is packed away and included), had the car fitted with dual-exhaust, It sounds nice, little more sound but not noisy. Car has the bullet-proof Mazda 4-speed with overdrive on a awitch. Has PW/PM/Radio antenna/CD/AM-FM with premium speaker setup/AC/Killer-heater/RW-defroster and they all work. I had acquired two sets of the 2000-M spec White instrument clusters together with installation instructions, and a good used power antenna. Antenna is installed. White instruments are easier on 71-year old eyes, and there is an instrument- outfit in Las Vegas that will reset the electronic odometer to the exact milage of the black-instrument cluster that you are replacing. (I have their phone and paperwork). So the car runs great, looks great, well maintained, has the O/D autobox (hasen't had its guts revved out), spotless under the hood. and so easy to drive. Forgot: factory tint on windows and small seam-failure on driver-side leather seat (visible in pic) not a rip in the leather, but a failure in the stiching, fixable.. Sorry, forgot to mention that car has the factory tan-Wind-Blocker fold-up device . On Nov-15-12 at 20:57:49 PST, seller added the following information: forgot again: Both headrests are included and are like new, and the O/D THUMB-switch is NOT an add-on: Factory switch on left side of shifter, takes it in and out of O/D, very handy, and yes I have the tan glovebox, did not like the way it looked but it goes with the car, a 10 minute install, and the radio antenna mentioned in the ad is power, up and down when the radio is turned on. and lastly, my car is at the head of the pack in one of the (7th one?) pics, Miata clubs are all over the U.S. and are a fun source of lunches/tech-sessions/parts/drives to cool places as a group and so on. The Denver club is well organized and does a lot., your club probably will too On Nov-16-12 at 11:01:54 PST, seller added the following information: NOTE-LISTEN UP!. an honest mistake on my part: misstated the mileage by 2497 miles, about the R/T distance of my last Texas trip.....so in the interest of FAIRNESS, (AND A HAPPY BUYER) ........ should this make you reconsider,.......... feel free to withdraw any bids offered so far............ Ebay will not let me change mileage (I tried twice) since bids are underway. When I pulled back the cover and did the weekly 10-minute warmup I pressed the Trip Odemeter button and noticed that the milage was 88,942, Bummer.............. I did not get my 100% satisfaction rating over 300 transactions by failing to be honest, so...... here tis. Sorry On Nov-18-12 at 13:57:02 PST, seller added the following information: ODD IDEA? Since this is my Extra Car...I would consider A TRADE....with cash-up if necessary, something worth about $5000.+ or so. Maybe a kit-car or modified car, pre-1985 vette, lotus-7 kit or cobra kit or??? ? need not run or even have a driveline? Just needs to be interesting. On Nov-21-12 at 09:06:03 PST, seller added the following information: NOTE---last reduction in the BIN I am all in, bid to win.
