Vehicle Detail
First, thanks for looking and please see my feedback before bidding.....thanks. We are selling our silver guitar edition TDI only because after seeing how great the car is I decided to purchase the same car with Package 2. (but.......... after the fact, not sure the cost was worth it, I'll explain later including a picture) We recently took the Jetta on a trip to Penn State (3.5 hour drive) and the car ran great and the mileage was near 44 miles/gallon on mostly highway. We are the second owner and purchased it from the original lady driver (almost 100% highway miles as she was in sales) a few months ago. The car has always been garaged kept and well maintained. Per the previous owner, they had the transmission overhauled in November, 2011. They also owned a paving company where they purchased special diesel fuel to ensure the longevity of their heavy equipment. This same diesel fuel was always used in the Jetta. The body is in great condition with just one small ding on the passenger door (see picture) and a few minor scratches, most of which you would need to be very close to even see. Features: The following are really nice features of the car and all work flawlessly: Your typical 2 way power sunroof, power steering/brakes/windows/locks/cruise control/intermittent wipers, etc. It also features built in navigation, bluetooth, CD/DVD player and more.Variable heated seats - Up to your shoulders, work fantastic There is a bycicle hitch on the back. Mud flaps on all wheelsA rear spoiler on the trunkSteering wheel controls Since purchasing I have had the following maintenance completed: new battery, new rear stabilizer end links, new front stabilizer end links, new front struts, new front strut upper mounts, new timing belt, water pump and tensionernew wipers So from a maintenance perspective, the car is ready to go and needs absolutely nothing. Tire tread is 90% front, 70% rear. The alloy wheels don't have a mark on them which indicates the driving care of the car. Now for the comparison to the Package 2 Jetta that I purchased and where I seriously question if was really worth the extra $4000:Leather in package 2 vs. leatherette: Per my daughter and wife, the leatherette is softer and my daughter prefers the lack of cracks which are not in the leatherette. The automatic climate control - marginally of value. This Jetta AC works great as well as the heater.Ours also has the steering controls, so even thereIt actually is, for whatever reason, smoother upon accelerating than this other Package 2 car. If you come here you can compare. Like I mentioned, please see my feedback. The car runs and drives perfect and if I were to keep it, at this point there is not a thing I would do except drive it which is lots of fun. The car is currently my wife's daily drive so the mileage may creep up just a bit. If you have any questions whatsoever, please call Ben at 610-420-1891. Car is located just 15 miles south of Philadelphia airport. I feel the buy it now price is actually one that will be seriously considered given the condition, up to date maintenance and special edition of the car. Thanks for looking. On Nov-16-12 at 12:16:38 PST, seller added the following information: Yes, the guitar with matching VIN and case is included with the sale.On Nov-19-12 at 05:43:48 PST, seller added the following information: A few concerns about the mileage. As mentioned, to my knowledge, miles are for the most part highway. I would pay for a full inspection by VW at their Garnet Valley dealership, which is just 7 miles from my home. Many times I have found that the 120K mile cars don't have all the suspension parts and timing parts updated.
