One adult owner, always had a camper shell on bed, origonal paint, unmolested interior and exterior, 3 brand new bias ply 16.5 (why i dont know), after market cruise. This truck was bought from estate and has to be the most untouched origonal interior truck I have seen for its age right down to the factory radio and rip free seats! Bed sides, floors,cab floors, tailgate, front fenders, and firewall are RUST FREE!!!!! The bad, EVERY other panel is either rusty or rusted thru. But this truck is the loaded with options style and full of good/perfect parts. Two wheel drive short bed. The family did not know the last time it was run or driven, I will assist with loading if needed for transport out of VA These are TRUE miles!!!!!On Nov-14-12 at 16:50:58 PST, seller added the following information: WOW !! low bids and lots of questions. As far as i have ever seen on the east coast there is NO SUCH THING AS A RUST FREE 73-79 CREW CAB PERIOD!!!!!!!! That being said bluntly and clearly i spent about 56 minutes today going over and under this truck on the phone with a bidder discribing every inch of it and now i will relay ALL that was discovered so that NO ONE will be misled, I have been SCREWED by the honest seller and know how it feels. It is a one owner older owner from day one the kind of guy that bought an expensive loaded truck wanted to keep it and maintained it/ repaired what he could himself. Inside to outside, I made a mistake its not a factory am/fm but an after market am Panisonic radio. The dash is split dead center and the cb mount is still in place NOT A FACTORY CB. Non delay wipers NO tilt colum but flawless steering wheel and pad. Driver front seat has a 2 inch long split at edge were it meets the side panel. NO OTHER DEFECTS IN SEATS front or rear. Back of front seat cardboard has VERY minimal scratches back of rear seat has non. Carpet has a small hole on drivers side near thresh hold, NO OTHER DEFECTS. Headliner is perfect with chrome trim that has minimal light surface rust. BLACK seat belts thru out. NO cracks or scratches in any of the all factory tinted glass. All door panels are PERFECT!!! The rear pull handles are there and in GREAT condition. All door gaskets are PERFECT and plyable. Ash trays are in place. Non locking glove box liner is in place and holds the owners manual. Lited mirror on passenger side visor and both are in GREAT shape. Both front and back glass gaskets are Great but plastic chrome trim on front is fadded. The build sheet is still under the rear seat. Now from top to bottom, THE ROOF IS RUSTY!!!!!!!!!!! The drivers side is surface but the passenger side is thru in places and covered up by the worst back yard hack job you can imagine. Right out of a how to book from an auto parts store from the 70's. Screen door material was used with bondo directly to the rusty metal. The roof has a dent on the drivers side above the front door. There are two holes above each side of the front windshield tha thave been bondoed also. SO THE TRUCK NEEDS ROOF WORK!!!!!!!!!! The hood is pin holed across the front and has surface rust in various spots as does the whole truck( shown In the crappy pictures ) The bottom of each door in the corners is rusty! But they are all there and not Jap crap replacements they are salvageable. The front fenders are rust free. The bed sides are PERFECT end to end, top to bottom. The bed floor has been protected by a sheet of plywood and the camper shell. The tailgate and mounting areas are perfect! it is also straight and complete and opens and closes. The head board of the bed at the top inside has surface rust up inside but thru on the passenger side at the top. Cab floors in and out HAVE NO RUST NEITHER DO ANY CAB MOUNTS FRAME OR BODY WISE. All bed mounts are solid as well. Rear painted step bumper is straight with a to the frame reciever hitch attatched and a round trailer plug that is controlled by a under the dash brake controller. The front bumper is straight and has lite surface rust on top(replateable) all lights and lenses are in tact as well as ALL trim pieces. Argent grill insert and head light rings surrounding square head lights. (XLT) Grill surround is dentless. Under the hood, New brake booster and master cylinder, heater hoses, radiator hoses, plugs and 8mm wires, brain box, fuel filter, distributor cap, air filter, battery, fuel pump, clutch fan, (a/c belt is in place with all a/c components), oil filter and the oil level is at full and the oil looks like it was changed yesterday, all air filter duct work is in place from radiator support to exhaust manifold with all vacum lines in place. New non oil soaked valve cover gaskets, SOME ONE MAINTAINED THEIR PRIDE AND JOY. Full of antifreeze, the windshield washer box is in place without cracks, all heat shields are in tact around the plug wires, as well as on washer box and complete new exhaust system fro manifolds to tail pipe. There are four newer KYB shocks on the corners with overload leaf springs at the rear. Dual piston brake calipers up front (thinking they would be single piston if it were not set up for towing) will be corrected on here im sure. Dual functioning gas tanks with nonlocking gas caps, there is a dent in the bottom of the lower front passenger side door that also dented the pillar between the two doors, all doors lock as well as the camper shell with a plexiglass back glass that was installed using flat head screws,(when was the last time you saw anybody use flat heads), the spare tire is in the bed, all glass is factory tinted and original.
