Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1930/1931 Ford Model A Coupe project. It comes with a significant number of parts. The frame is an original (but fully boxed) Model A Ford chassis with a 1932 Ford front crossmember. The engine is a 1951-1953 Ford Flathead that runs very well...It was rebuilt less than 200 miles ago by a local guy. I bought the motor running on a stand and the radiator currently bolted to the frame was used on this test stand. (is not the appropriate radiator for a model A...but will work until you want to install a grill, hood, fenders, etc.) It does NOT come with a title though I can provide general advice as to how you could go about getting a title. The transmission is a S10 five speed with an adapter plate from Speedway motors. Is it only bolted to the motor for mock-up purposes...does NOT have clutch, pressure plate, etc installed. The frame is fully boxed and several crossmembers were installed. The rear end is from a Ford...believe it is from a Ranger. I believe the rear brake drums are complete adn ready for use, but really do not remember. This project comes with several pieces of steel for flooring, rear wheel well patch panels (both sides), new in box (Mr Roadster) frame mounted master cylinder/pedal, new in box (speedway) new in box front calipers, new front brake pads, uncut drivershaft, upper front shock mounts and other miscellaneous parts. It is a 4" drop Superbell front axle, new rotors, new rear coilovers, new lower front shock mounts and new decklid outer skin. The water pumps are both new and came from Mac's.....I wanted to install the motor using the water pump mount (believe original to truck) rather than the "cradle" style mount that was used for the test stand. The outer door handle(s) are not really installed...just using them to open the door but they will easily pull out for transport. (door latches work) If it does not sell, I will ultimately take it to a local swap meet. I will also entertain selling only the body. (might also be interested in trading for a very nice 30/31 Tudor body) This project still requires body work (door/trunk alignment, fix dents/dings, etc) but could be a driving chassis in very little (cut/install driveshaft, wiring, master cylinder, brake lines, belt, etc) time. The body is bolted to the frame and will be easy to load/transport. I am not interested in lowball offers and am not required to sell it. I am only testing the waters with the ideas of moving on to another project. This is a nice project and most of the hard work and significantly expensive items are installed or included. The vehicle is located 30-40 minutes east of Dallas. Vehicle must be picked up within 14 days of auction close, unless alternate arrangements are discussed and agreed to (by both parties) prior to bidding. The only acceptable form of payment is cash on vehicle pickup/delivery, with the exception of the deposit required if my assistance (mentioned below) is needed with delivery. Delivery can be arranged within 100 miles of Dallas, TX for my fuel (15 MPG...both going and coming) expense. I will only load the vehicle for transport if a non-refundable deposit of $1000 is transfered via Paypal the day prior to transport. Any distance exceeding 100 miles and compensation for delivery must be discussed and agreed to by both parties PRIOR to bidding. Please do not bid if you do not plan to complete the transaction. Lastly, this project is available for inspection by appointment. VEHICLE DOES NOT COME WITH A TITLE. IT COMES WITH A BILL OF SALE ONLY. EBAY REQUIRED THE SELECTION OF A TITLE TYPE AND "NONE" IS NOT AN OPTION.
