Vehicle Detail
1970 CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE MATCHING NUMBERS DRIVE TRAIN 350/350HP AIR CAR WITH 4 SPEED TRIPLE BLACK WITH HARDTOP AND WHITE SOFT TOP TWO OWNER RUST FREE CAR TILT WHEEL AND POWER STEERING 1 This is a great driver with alot of undercarriage parts being replaced. I will tell the history of the car as we go through the pictures. 2 All lights work and the vacumn system work as they should. 3 The chrome and stainless are nice driver quality. 4 5 6 This is a great driver it is geared with 3:36's so it cruises better than most cars. The drive train is in great shape and I have driven this car alot and it drives straight and true down the road. I would drive this car anywhere with confidence. The car does not have any noise in the transmission or rear end like most do. I am located a hour and thirty minutes from the memphis airport. If you like the car and want to make me an offer just give me a call at 870 930 6104 7AM TO 7PM CENTRAL TIME. 7 The paint is twenty years old and it still turns heads. It has been toucheed up over the years, but it still has some chips and pecks down low. It is black so it shows some swirls and scratches. It is a ten footer that shows its age. It was a cortez silver car before it was painted black. It is completely as it came from the factory except for the color change. I believe the car to be unrestored and would be a great car to have painted its original color and judged for a Bloomington survivor. 8 9 If you have questions, please call me. I do not check my messages. 10 11 This has not been buffed and some of it may come out. I will show the flaws and give a detailed listing. Zoom in and be patient because I put alot of pictures for you to make a decision. 12 13 A FEW FLAWS AROUND THE TAIL LIGHT AREA IN THE PAINT. 14 All lights work just as they should. 15 17 18 I take my pictures in shaded areas, full sun and partial sun as well as flourescant lighting so you see the car in all light scenarios. This way you see the car as it looks just as it comes out of the camera. I do not run my pictures through a photo enhancing program like photoshop - what you see is what you get. 20 21 22 There is one dime size peck in the passenger side light cover. 23 Because of the GM strike there were only 6,648 convertibles made out of 17,316 made the smallest production number made making them some what rare. With AC and the 350 hp motor, the CTJ code is something to make them more collectible. 24 25 26 27 28 29 All ot the trim rings and caps still look great and tires are like new. I do have a set of bias Firestone red line tires if you like them better I will swap them out. 30 The hardtop has a flaw in this side down low at the front and it could use both chrome end caps at the rear. 31 ALL OF THE DOOR GAPS ARE NICE AND THE TRIM LINES ARE NICE AND CLEAN. I DO NOT THINK THE CAR HAS EVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT. 32 33 34 35 Notice a few pecks down low on the front. 36 The chrome that hold the license plate could use a new one at around $50 for reproduction. 37 38 350 CU. IN 350 HP WITH POWER STEERING AND AIR. THE ENGINE IS STOUT AND RUNS GREAT WITH NO SMOKE WHAT SO EVER IT STARTS EVERY TIME AND IS VERY DEPENDABLE. The motor looks to good so I think it has been gone through because it has silicone in places that were apart. 39 The factory AC is great extra. I just spent $2300. on my personal vette adding classic auto air. 40 The build date is E20 decodes to may 20th 1970. 41 42 LAST SIX DIGITS MATCH VIN ON THE WINDOW POST 43 DATE CODE IS MARCH 10TH 1970 AND FACTORY CORRECT TIME LINE. 44 CORRECT CASTING NUMBER 45 JUST A BETTER PICTURE OF VIN NUMBER STAMPED IN BLOCK 46 V0317CTJ DECODES TO CHEVY SMALL BLOCK MARCH 17TH 1970 AND CTJ IS 350 HP THE SPECIAL CAM QUADRAJET CARB WITH AC. 47 48 It took two pictures to get all of the transmission pats number 3925661. 49 THIS IS THE TRANS WITH VIN NUMBER FACTORY VIN # STAMP. 50 THIS PICTURE WAS TAKEN BEFORE I HAD THE BOTTOM DETAILED. CAM 4 2 70 CAM DECODES TO 3:36 GEAR APRIL 2ND 1970 WHICH IS FACTORY CORRECT. 51 53 The top is in great shape with the rear window clear and still looks good. 54 THIS CAR SETS UP NICE AND STRAIGHT JUST LIKE IT SHOULD, 55 56 57 58 59 THE STAINLESS ON THE REAR RACK SHOWS A LITTLE WEAR. 60 61 63 64 65 66 67 68 69 I took this picture to show a flaw. 70 GREAT CURB APPEAL 71 72 73 74 75 Tires are very good. 76 77 78 79 80 81 The interior is good with nice color. 82 CARPETS ARE VERY NICE. 83 DASH IS NICE. 84 TILT WHEEL IS A NICE TOUCH IF YOU ARE 6.2 AND WEIGH 250 YOU CAN STILL GET IN AND BE COMFORTABLE. 85 DOOR PANELS ARE ORIGINAL AND HAVE A FEW FLAWS. DOORS OPEN AND SHUT AS THEY SHOULD NICE AND EASY WITH NO DRAG. 86 SEATBELTS ARE ORIGINAL. 87 WIPERS WORK AND THE RADIO WORKS AND I ORDERED NEW KNOBS. 88 I HAVE A NEW TACH CABLE THAT COMES WITH THE CAR. 89 90 91 92 93 94 95 96 I took this picture before I had the undercarriage detailed the frame is in great shape. It has a rust free frame. The front window post is great shape as well as the rear wheel kick up area and the front part of the birdcage area. 97 The front toe pad heat shields are still in place and the stainless exhaust is dynaflow from front to rear and chrome tips are like new. It has the x pipe wrapped in heat wrap. The car has a great sound, not to loud but just right. 98 ALL OF THE BUSHINGS AND PINS,TIE RODS HAVE BEEN REPLACED. THE SHOCKS AND ALL SPRINGS WERE REPLACED SOMETIME IN THE LAST FEW YEARS AND THE FRON SPRINGS STILL HAVE THE GREEN TAGS. 99 100 Terms of Sale The buyer will submit a $2,000 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit within 48 hours of the close of the auction to secure the vehicle.
