THIS IS THE CAR THAT YOU'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - 1981 Firebird Formula with the 6.6L V8 (400 cu in) out of a 1976 Trans Am- The car has 73,981 miles, the engine has about 15,000 on it since rebuild, est. ~ 400hp.- Pontiac 6.6L V8, Holly Street Avenger Carb, Edlebrock Aluminum Intake, Headers with Dual Exhaust, A/C Delete, Optima RedTop Battery- 4 speed manual trans with a Hurst shifter.- Newer paint in Carmine Red Metallic- Rally II Wheels and W50 Formula Appearance Package- Original Red Pimlico Cloth Interior I purchased it with the intention of it being my sunday driver/show car, but I just found out my wife is pregnant and this car must go. It was recently repainted. The interior is in great shape except: The dash pad top has some cracks in it, there is a small tear (approx 4-6 inches) in the carpet on the drivers side (it is covered by the floormat but could probably be sewn together or replaced if it bothers you), and the drivers seat cover back would need to be replaced due to wear and tear. Other than that everything looks good. No visible rust on the body and I was told the frame looks good (It appears to have been undercoated at some point in the past). The trans and clutch shifts smooth. The engine runs very strong and has a nice sound to it and makes way more power than the stock engine did in 1981 (and has the benefit of being extremely simple to work on). I have would like to sell the car ASAP and do not have the time to wait around to get top dollar, especially with winter being around the corner. All this car needs is you.
