Here we have a 1966 CORVAIR MONZA two door coupe. The car runs and drives but is a project car. I got this car with a few others, and this needs to be sold off. I will try to be as honest and thorough about the car as I can. The body seems good, the floors and under body are solid, there is very little rust underneath the car. There is a little rust at the drivers lower door jamb , at the inside of the drivers fender, and some at the area behind the back wheel on the drivers side. The engine starts and runs ok, but it has some issues. The engine leaks oil from the valve covers, maybe other places. I know little about Corvairs, an aquaintance said the heads are mounted upside down, and some of the hoses etc. are not connected as they should be. The engine should probably be gone over or rebuilt, or replaced. The car drives, but it clunks pretty much when put in gear, this may also be due to it idling too fast, the transmission shifts, but later than normal because of the connections to the engine not being correct. The brake hose look new and the brakes work, but they feel choppy, when braking . The turn signals dont work, it may be the switch, cause the indicator lights dont come on for the dash. The interior is average, seats could use reuphulstery, but arent terrible, dash is nice, except for a few cracks in the dash pad. Headliner is torn and hangs down in the back. The front windshield is cracked, and will need replacement. Car does have new hoses for the heater ducting, and a fresh oil change. Tires look to have a lot of tread, and seem good. There is some paper work from P.O. for parts bought,etc. and some manuals and parts catalogs for the car, and owners manuals. Car does have the spare tire, and jack, and some extra parts. Overall, the car body needs some work to be nice, and mechanically,it needs a more work, mostly at the engine, but does seem like a decent platform to work with, since its not very rusty.Car is for sale - AS-IS, Where-IS Car sells to buyer , paying cash, title transfered after car is paid in full, we can use AAA notary,or other notaries in the Reading,area.
